What does the message "The smart hard disk check has detected an imminent failure" mean?... Computer disks have hard errors and soft errors.... So if you see such a message, back up your drive and be prepared to replace it soon.... It would be a good idea to back it up to some external media and then buy a compatible disk, and make an image copy so you can directly replace that failing disk.

When we vocally transmit the message, "it is two o’clock, "our voice carries some impression in addition to the hard data about the time of day.... In each case we are adding a different parasignal signal to the identical alphasignal. We are actually varying the hard-data content and we can vary the total message through a spectrum from pleasant friendly cooperativeness to outright offensiveness-all by modulating the parasignal.
