If [we] look at the phenomenon of labour supply and the people already working in the labour force, it is true that the taxes levied on them do not have much effect on their incentive to work. We are not able to explain much of their behaviour or the economic phenomena as a result of changes in incentives. However, incentives still do matter for various sub-segments of the labour force. There is something labour economists call a heterogeneous response wherein not everyone responds to incentives and changes in incentives in the same way as far as their labour market behaviour and decisions. 1, record 7, English, - heterogeneous%20response

The Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources came into force in 1982, as part of the Antarctic Treaty System. It was established mainly in response to concerns that an increase in krill catches in the Southern Ocean could have a serious effect on populations of krill and other marine life; particularly on birds, seals and fish which mainly depend on krill for food. The aim of the Convention is to conserve marine life. This does not exclude harvesting as long as such harvesting is carried out in a rational manner. 2, record 10, English, - Convention%20on%20the%20Conservation%20of%20Antarctic%20Marine%20Living%20Resources

1, record 10, French, - Convention%20sur%20la%20conservation%20de%20la%20faune%20et%20de%20la%20flore%20marines%20de%20l%27Antarctique

Integrated Cantilever Beam Tunneling Sensor. Our researchers have exploited the extremely sensitive quantum tunneling effect between metals to design MEMS sensors that can sense a force applied to a silicon-based, surface micromachined structure with extraordinary sensitivity and six orders of magnitude of dynamic range. The force is applied to a micromachined cantilever(one electrode) and is sensed as a result of a tunneling current produced between the cantilever and a tunneling tip(the other electrode). The sensor is operated in a force rebalance mode such that the cantilever and tip do not actually move with respect to each other but are held in a servo-locked state with the voltage required to maintain the servo-lock proportional to the force being sensed by the cantilever. 2, record 12, English, - force%2Drebalance%20mode
