Fake streams have become increasingly commonplace in the music industry, often undetected. As streaming continues to dominate the market, we must understand the impact of these "fake plays" and what can be done to stop them.... Fake streams are simulated plays of music created to increase an artist's streaming numbers. They can be challenging to identify since they are generated by bots or paid individuals who stream specific tracks. This has stirred controversy in the industry, as it promotes unfair competition among artists. 2, record 2, English, - fake%20stream

Originally, keyboard tablatures must have suggested a practical link to the keys of the instrument. Indeed, the anonymous tenth-century Bern organ treatise... describes the presence of pitch names, for the performer's visual reference, written directly on the keys of the organ. If letters of the alphabet could be used in this way, it is just as conceivable that numbers could have been used in a similar manner. Thus, the origin of "German" keyboard tablatures may be associated with the practice of lettered keys, and the origin of "Spanish" tablatures may, at least hypothetically, be associated with numbered keys. 2, record 4, English, - keyboard%20tablature

The ICBL was launched in October 1992 by a group of six non-governmental organizations : Handicap International, Human Rights Watch, Medico International, Mines Advisory Group, Physicians for Human Rights and Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation. These founding organizations witnessed the horrendous effect of mines on the communities they were working with in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America and saw how mines hampered and even prevented their development efforts in these countries. The International Campaign to Ban Landmines(ICBL) is a global network in over 70 countries that works for a world free of antipersonnel landmines and cluster munitions, where landmine and cluster munition survivors can lead fulfilling lives. The Campaign was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of its efforts to bring about the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty. Since then, we have been advocating for the words of the treaty to become a reality, demonstrating on a daily basis that civil society has the power to change the world. As a member of the Cluster Munition Coalition, the ICBL is engaged in the global effort to ban cluster munitions and to address their humanitarian impact. In December 2006, the ICBL decided to engage extensively in the global effort to prohibit cluster munitions. This marked the first time that the ICBL had become significantly engaged on an issue other than antipersonnel mines. The main reasons for the ICBL' s decision were that cluster munitions inevitably end up leaving behind large numbers of unexploded ’duds’ which behave essentially like antipersonnel mines; that many ICBL members had been already working extensively on cluster munitions; and that international efforts to achieve a global ban on cluster munitions were at a crucial point, a point where the ICBL could have a meaningful impact. 1, record 25, English, - International%20Campaign%20to%20Ban%20Landmines

1, record 25, French, - Campagne%20internationale%20pour%20interdire%20les%20mines

Ethnology takes living peoples and past societies to be its subject matter. Traditionally, ethnologists have concentrated upon societies very different from our own, particularly non-literate, stateless, or "tribal" societies. There have always been ethnologists, however, who have worked in industrial, state-organized societies, and in recent years greater numbers of ethnologists have been turning to them. Ethnology is comparative in its perspective and, in attending to the great variety of cultural arrangements existing in the world, it raises questions about the adequacy of common and easy assumptions about human nature. 2, record 32, English, - ethnology

These codes are assigned by the National Codification Bureau to manufacturers which are sources of supply for items procured. The primary use of the code numbering system is in the machine accounting operations related to supply management programmes. The code numbers are assigned to establishments which are manufacturers or have design control of items of supply procured by agencies of the Government. Climate models use quantitative methods to simulate the interactions of the atmosphere, oceans, land surface, and ice. They are used for a variety of purposes from study of the dynamics of the weather and climate system to projections of future climate.

2, record 54, French, - extinction
Record number: 54, Textual support number: 2 OBS

Usually, one rock is a standard type, e. g. a mid-oceanic-ridge basalt or a carbonaceous chondrite meteorite. Data for the test rock are "normalized" to the standard by dividing the abundance for each element by the abundance in the standard and plotting the quotient, usually in order of atomic number. Elements which have the same abundance in the test rock as in the standard yield a quotient of 1; if the two compositions were identical the plot would be a straight line through 1 on the y axis. Elements more abundant in the test rock yield numbers greater than 1; those less abundant yield numbers less than 1. By connecting the points plotted by a single line, a spidery diagram of peaks and troughs is obtained which illustrates immediately systematic differences in composition, e. g. relative enrichment in incompatible elements. 2, record 57, English, - spider%20diagram

The term splicing usually refers to the joining together of two or more series of index numbers, the first on one base, the second on another base and so on. If two different series cover the run between them and provided that they have at least one period in common, then they can be spliced together by equating them in a common period. The validity of this procedure is based on the assumption that if the old series could be continued, it would move in parallel with the new series in the sense of showing the same percentage changes. 1, record 79, English, - splicing

Exhibition of the Canadian Museum of Civilization. "Created by two waves of immigration that ended more than 30 years ago, Canada's Italian community has reached an important moment in its history. While the immigrants who came during the first migratory wave(1880 to the late 1920s) have already disappeared, those who arrived during the second wave(1947 to the late 1960s) are an increasingly ageing population. As their numbers gradually decrease in the coming years, the last living witnesses of the multiple peasant cultures from which most Italian-Canadians descended will disappear as well. The exhibition offers the visitor a new look at these cultures that are too often relegated to the past. " 1, record 82, English, - Presenza%3A%20A%20new%20look%20at%20Italian%2DCanadian%20Heritage

In practical graphics applications, one starts with a set of vertices for the polygon in user's co-ordinates. For the seed filling algorithm to work, first the borders have to be drawn using the border colour(normally, using Bresenham), after which an internal point has to be identified and then the seed filling algorithm executed. Filling algorithms can be used to determine areas of closed polygons at the raster level in terms of pixel numbers. The polygon is filled with a unique colour and then the number of pixels are counted which have this colour value in the frame buffer, or more efficiently within the min/max box of the polygon. 1, record 94, English, - seed%20filling%20algorithm

In contrast to semivariance, the Getis statistic(Gi), generates values which relate variations within patterns of spatial dependence. Thus, it has the potential to uncover discrete spatial regimes which might be overlooked by existing techniques.... Wulder and Boots have adapted the Getis statistic for processing remotely sensed imagery. The Getis statistic yields a standardized value which indicates both the degree of autocorrelation in the values of the digital numbers centered on a given pixel and the magnitude of these values in relation to those of the entire image. The Gi values measure the extent to which a pixel is surrounded by a cluster of high or low values of a particular variable(e. g. DN). Large positive Gi values denote a cluster of high DN values; large negative Gi values indicate the spatial dependence within a tree crown or between shadow elements. High positive values generated from infrared wavelength image data indicate the presence of a tree object whereas high negative values relate a non-tree feature. 4, record 95, English, - Getis%20statistic

«Local Spatial Autocorrelation Characteristics of Landsat TM Imagery of a Managed Forest Area», par M. Wulder et B. Boots. The buckwheat flower has no petals-the sexual parts, the ovary, three styles and eight stamens being enclosed in the petallike sepas. Four of the anthers bend out but turn their pollen inward. The other four turn their pollen outward(Knuth 1909, pp. 341-342). Some plants have flowers, referred to as the "thrum" type, with short styles and long filaments so the stamens extend above the styles. Other flowers, referred to as "pin" types, have long styles and short filaments so the stigma is avobe the anthers. Occasionally, the styles and stamens are at the same height. The long stamens and filaments are fully 3 mm; the shorter ones, about 2 mm. Although each plant bears flowers of only one form, the seeds from either form will produce plants having the dimorphic forms in about equal numbers. The thress styles lead to a single ovary with one ovule, so a flower can produce only one seed, which is about one-quarter inch long. 2, record 96, English, - microstylous

In terms of numbers this is the most important category of combat aircraft; yet, if the media area is to be believed, the general public have never heard of it, so attack aircraft have to be called either "fighters" or "bombers". Their origin lay in aircraft of 1916-18 called ground strafers or trench fighters which were armoured to survive in close proximity to a land battle whilst doing what they could to harass the enemy land forces. 2, record 97, English, - attack%20aircraft

Analyses of whole or ground grain by physical methods would be better suited to handling large numbers of samples, as in protein segregation of carlots, or continuous monitoring as in loading an export cargo. Such procedures are now known and include near infrared reflectance(NIR) and near infrared transmission spectroscopy. NIR instruments have been in use for protein segregation in Canadian terminal elevators since 1975. The accuracy and precision of these instruments are equivalent to most of the standard methods of protein analysis including the Kjeldahl. NIR instruments are the most recent introduction to protein testing. They are very rapid and do not require the grain to be ground. An additional advantage of these instruments is their capacity for similarly determining moisture as well as protein. The accuracy of NIR instruments seems adequate for protein segregation. 1, record 100, English, - near%20infrared%20transmission%20spectroscopy

1, record 100, French, - spectroscopie%20de%20transmission%20dans%20le%20proche%20infrarouge
