Deoxyribonuclease(DNAse) agar actually has DNA in it. Deoxyribonuclease is an exoenzyme excreted from the cell which will break the DNA down into smaller molecules. There are 2 kinds of DNAse agar that can be used. 1) The first medium has no indicator, but is does require HCl(hydrochloric acid) reagent to be added after growth has occurred on the plate. Without DNAse enzyme, the HCl precipitates out the undestroyed DNA. The rest of the agar with the remaining DNA, which binds to HCl will have turned cloudy. Around the growth area, if the bacterium has made DNAse and destroyed the DNA, there will be clear zones seen. 2) DNAse agar with the indicator methyl green can be used. In this medium, when the DNA in the medium is hydrolyzed by the bacterial DNAse enzyme, the pieces of cut DNA release from binding to methyl green, and you will see a yellowish/orange zone around the growth area. OBJECTIVE : To identify the presence of the DNAse enzyme. 3, record 3, English, - deoxyribonucleic%20acid%20agar

2, record 4, French, - chlorhydrate

The inclinometer in both the turn and slip indicator [older aircraft] and the turn coordinator [modern aircraft] measures the turn quality.... when in a turn, part of the lift of the wing goes into "turning" the aircraft, this is called the horizontal component of lift(HCL). This HCL is directed toward the center of the turn. Also, a force directed outward and away from the center of the turn exists. This is called centrifugal force(CF). For the turn to be coordinated these two opposing forces must be equal. When they are equal, the ball in the inclinometer will remain in the middle. 1, record 9, English, - horizontal%20component%20of%20lift

Studies of the Antarctic ozone hole have shown that polar stratospheric clouds(PSCs) play an important role in the depletion of ozone. The PSCs contribute to ozone depletion by cycling chlorine from inactive "reservoir" species such as ClONO2 and HCl into reactive chlorine atoms. Although it is known that one type of PSC particle(Type Ia) contains nitric acid and water in a crystalline form, the composition and formation mechanism of these particles is not yet known. We measured the crystallization rates of nitric acid trihydrate(NAT) and nitric acid dihydrate(NAD) to determine the amount of time which would be required for 3 : 1 and 2 : 1 water : nitric acid solutions to freeze to NAT and NAD, respectively, under stratospheric conditions. 3, record 22, English, - nitric%20acid%20trihydrate

The salts of hydrochloric acid, known as chlorides, can, in most cases, be prepared by dissolving either the metal, its hydroxide, oxide, or carbonate in the acid; or by heating the metal in a current of chlorine, or by precipitation. The majority of the metallic chlorides are solids (stannic chloride, titanic chloride and antimony pentachloride are liquids) which readily volatilize on heating. Many are readily soluble in water, the chief exceptions being silver, chloride, mercurous chloride, cuprous chloride and palladious chloride which are insoluble in water, and thallous chloride and lead chloride which are only slightly soluble in cold water, but are readily soluble in hot water. 3, record 37, English, - metallic%20chloride

Chlorine induced corrosion is the most important corrosion process in power plants, firing waste, coal and/or biomass. Depending on the process, chlorine is present as HCl gas, as solid KCl and NaCl in ashes or as eutectic melts i. e. KCl-ZnCl2 in deposits of waste fired boilers. In the presence of HCl gas and solid chlorides, "active oxidation" is generally accepted as the major corrosion mechanism. Metal chlorides are formed by inward diffusion of chlorine to the metal/oxide interface, evaporating and subsequently oxidized to non-protective oxides and additional chlorine. 4, record 37, English, - metallic%20chloride

1, record 42, French, - m%C3%A9thode%20d%27extraction%20par%20solvants

A treatment, most often SO2, but in some cases H2SO4 or HCl, applied a) After a final chlorine dioxide, hyprochlorite or peroxide stage to destroy residual bleaching agent and remove metal ions which prevents brightness loss and avoids fibre degradation, and to create a pH favourable for brightness stability(alkaline pulps tend to yellow on exposure to light and air) ;b) As a pretreatment before an oxygen stage, which tends to improve both brightness and physical strength, probably by removing metal ions from pulp; and c) Between stages, such as peroxide-hydrosulphite, to eliminate the washing steps by creating acid conditions necessary for the hydrosulphite stage, and to destroy residual peroxide by reduction which would otherwise consume costly hydrosulphite; d) Has been used in place of a chelation stage in a TCF sequence with peroxide. 1, record 51, French, - traitement%20%C3%A0%20l%27acide
