The Shelterbelt Enhancement Program(SEP) is a five-year initiative designed to reduce greenhouse gases through increased shelterbelt plantings on agricultural lands across the Prairies. This program is administered through Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's(AAFC) Shelberbelt Centre in Indian Head, Saskatchewan. Through the SEP, the Centre's services will be expanded to improve shelterbelt planting success, while reducing costs to landowners. As part of the program, clients will be supplied with weed-controlling materials and specialized mulch application equipment.

Le Programme de mise en valeur des brise-vent (PMVBV) est un programme qui s'étend sur 5 ans dont le but est de diminuer les gaz à effet de serre en augmentant l'aménagement de brise-vent sur les terres agricoles des Prairies. Le programme est administré par Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada par l'entremise du Centre de brise-vent à Indian Head (Saskatchewan). Au moyen du PMVBV, le Centre étendra l'éventail de ses services dans le but d'accroître la réussite des plantations de brise-vent tout en réduisant le coût aux propriétaires fonciers. Au titre du programme, on fournira aux clients du matériel servant à lutter contre les mauvaises herbes ainsi que de l'équipement spécialisé pour poser le paillis.
