Anthropometric measurements are quantitative measurements of the body, for which non-invasive tools and methods exist. In the paediatric population, anthropometric values are used to determine development and health status of the child ... In adults, such measurements can help to assess health and nutritional status, as well as potential risk factors for diseases, such as obesity ... In athletes, assessing body composition plays a key role in monitoring performance and training routines, especially in weight class and aesthetic sports ... 2, record 1, English, - anthropometric%20measurement

Record number: 6, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Both the French and Spanish make much use of the anglicism "drive", albeit not in a correct fashion: In English "drive" is supposed to imply a ball hit with a lot of pace to win a point outright, regardless of the type of spin used to accomplish this task. (The terms "shot" and "stroke", being more neutral, need not imply any added spin whatsoever) However in both French and Spanish, "drive" is often used as a synonym for "forehand" (shot/stroke), or like English it can refer to any hard shot, whether on the backhand or forehand side. 4, record 6, English, - drive

Stand with feet slightly wider than hip width apart and toes pointing out slightly. Squat down and grasp bar with a closed, pronated grip.... First pull phase : lift bar from floor by forcefully extending hips and knees.... Keep elbows fully extended(straight), head in a neutral position and shoulders over the bar. As bar raises, keep it as close to shins as possible. Transition(scoop) phase : as bar passes knees, thrust hips forward and slightly re-flex knees to avoid locking them.... Second pull phase : Forcefully and quickly extend hips and knees and plantar-flex ankles(stand on toes). Keep bar as close to body as possible.... Keep shoulders over bar and elbows extended(arms straight) as long as possible. When lower body joints reach full extension, rapidly shrug the shoulders upward, but do not let elbows flex yet. As shoulders reach their highest elevation, flex elbows to begin pulling body under bar. Continue to pull arms as high and as long as possible.... feet may lose contact with floor. Catch phase : after lower body has fully extended and bar reaches near maximal height, pull body under bar and rotate arms around and under bar. Simultaneously, hips and knees flex into a quarter squat position. Once arms are under bar, lift elbows to position the upper arms parallel to floor. Rack the bar across front of clavicles(collar bones) and anterior deltoids(front shoulder muscles).... Stand up by extending hips and knees to a fully erect position. Downward movement phase : lower bar by gradually reducing muscular tension of arms to allow a controlled descent of the bar to the thighs.... A beautiful, delicate head characterizes the Arabian, often with a "dished" or concave profile below large, prominent eyes; a high-set, arched neck; and a naturally high tail carriage. The back is short and straight; the withers are pronounced and long; the chest is muscular, deep and broad; the shoulders long and sloping; the legs muscular with broad strong joints and clearly defined tendons; and the hooves small with very tough horn, wide at the heel. These points of "type" give the Arabian its distinctive beauty. The ideal height for an Arabian is between 14. 2 and 15 hands and may be chestnut, gray, bay, and black. A drill press is preferable to a hand drill when the location and orientation of the hole must be controlled accurately. A drill press is composed of a base that supports a column, the column in turn supports a table. Work can be supported on the table with a vise or hold down clamps, or the table can be swiveled out of the way to allow tall work to be supported directly on the base. Height of the table can be adjusted with a table lift crank than locked in place with a table lock. The column also supports a head containing a motro. The motor turns the spindle at a speed controlled by a variable speed control dial. The spindle holds a drill chuck to hold the cutting tools(drill bits, center drills, deburring tools, etc.). The curtain coater comes in two types :(1) pressure head and(2) gravity feed. The pressure head is essentially a V-shaped reservoir made airtight by a removable cover and fitted across the bottom with an adjustable gap. A variable-speed, positive-displacement pump sends adhesive into the reservoir. Spread control is determined by the width of the knife gap, the pump speed, and the viscosity of the glue... The gravity feed system is the forerunner of the pressure head. The application method is quite similar, with one important difference : the curtain velocity cannot be controlled. The curtain falls as a waterfall, the weight controlled by mass and height. 1, record 25, English, - curtain%20coater

Gravimetric Loop machine... This is essentially for use in a binary fluid circuit... Three parallel fluid columns of considerable height(64 m in a prototype) are arranged to form two loops, the central column being common to both. In the left-hand loop a refrigerant(e. g. freon 11) is pumped counter-clockwise round the loop : in the right-hand loop, water is circulated clockwise by gravimetric forces. The bottom of the water loop is heated by geothermal fluid. The heated water, on contact with the freon at the bottom of the central column, causes the latter to boil, and the released freon bubbles give buoyancy to the fluid in this column so that the water and boiling freon rise to the top where the two fluids, being immiscible, are separated... The different densities of the fluids in the right-hand and central columns provide the driving head for the turbine. 1, record 40, English, - gravimetric%20loop%20machine
