A belt conveyor to serve between a loader or continuous miner and the main transport. It consists of two main units-a head and a tail section-each mounted on crawler tracks and independently driven. In operation, the tail unit, i. e. the receiving end, moves forward with the loading machine, and belting is automatically released from a loop take-up. Fifty feet advance is possible before additional belting has to be inserted into the conveyor run. Capacity equals 280 t. p. h. with a 30-in. belt.
