Kick drums are also known as bass drums—but they’re distinct from the type of bass drums used in classical music ensembles. Orchestral bass drums tend to be far larger than drum kit bass drums. Unlike drum kit bass drums, which sit on the floor, orchestral bass drums sit suspended off the ground. And while drummers strike kick drums with a bass drum pedal, they strike orchestral bass drums with handheld beaters—usually mallets but sometimes standard drumsticks. 3, record 2, English, - bass%20drum

This insect, common in Great-Britain and Canada’s West Coast, is an omnivorous scavenger of cereal screenings, dust, etc. Occasionally it is a major pest of bulk wheat, bagged flour and a variety of stored commodities. In the home it is much more important as a clothes moth than as a pest of stored foods. 1, record 4, English, - brown%20house%20moth
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The adults vary in size with the male having a wing-spread of about 2 centimetres, while the female may at times exceed 2. 5 centimetres. The forewings are dark brown with a number of blackish-brown spots. Approximately 300 eggs are laid by each female, most of them within a few days of mating. Three times as many eggs are laid on sacking as on grain. The mature larva is about 2 centimetres in length, shiny white in colour, with a yellow head. The feeding larva spins a light, closely-woven tube of silk as it eats its way through a food mass. When temperatures are too low, many of the larvae become dormant rather than pupate, extending the larval stage. High relative humidity is a requirement for satisfactory larval growth. At summer temperatures and a relative humidity of approximately 90% the life cycle takes about 100 days. 1, record 4, English, - brown%20house%20moth

1, record 4, French, - %26oelig%3Bcophore%20bronz%C3%A9e
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 OBS

8, record 6, French, - bois%20n%C2%B0%201

Caution: the Spanish term "recorrido" is generic. In its most basic meaning the term denotes the path of a moving object (=trajectory, flight), whether it be a racquet, a ball or even a human body (= route, course). In some contexts, it is obvious that "recorrido" refers to the «swing» of a racquet as it comes in contact with the ball. In other cases, other more precise English equivalents - backswing, upswing, downswing, follow through, route - are recommended. Furthermore, in English one speaks of the "flight" or "trajectory" (=ES: vuelo, trayectoria o recorrido; FR: trajectoire) of the ball, the "path" (=ES: trayectoria; FR: élan) of the (racquet) swing, and the "path" or "route" (=ES: recorrido) of a person. 3, record 9, English, - backswing

Mushroom clouds are formed by many sorts of large explosions under earth gravity, though they are best known for their appearance after nuclear detonations.... While it rises, air is drawn into it and upwards(similar to the updraft of a chimney), producing strong air currents known as "afterwinds", while inside the head of the cloud the hot gases rotate in a toroid shape. When the detonation itself is low enough, these afterwinds will draw in dirt and debris from the ground below to form the stem of the mushroom cloud. 2, record 14, English, - stem

2, record 20, French, - bashkir

The Andalusian takes its name from Andalusia, the region in southern Spain where it was first bred. Because it combines graceful movement with a willing temperament, it makes a quality dressage horse.... A magnificent head is set on to a fairly thick neck, with sloping shoulders and an elegantly proportioned body. The hindquarters are broad and the legs strong. The mane and tail hair is thick and long, with the tail set low. 3, record 21, English, - Andalusian

It is most apparent when the sun is low in the sky and when the surface is dew-covered. The explanation of the heiligenschein varies depending upon whether it is seen over a dry or a dew-covered surface. When an observer’s shadow is cast on a dry, irregular surface (such as gravel or vegetation), each irregularity near the antisolar point covers its own shadow. In other directions, the average brightness results from a mixture of sunlit and shaded surfaces. The lower the sun in the sky, the longer the shadows and so the greater the contrast with the brighter region near the antisolar point. 4, record 23, English, - Heiligenschein
Record number: 23, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The heiligenschein is occasionally called Cellini’s halo, after Benvenuto Cellini who described its behavior in his memoirs of 1562. He even pointed out that it appears to the greatest advantage when the grass is moist with dew, but felt its appearance bespoke the wondrous ways of Gods providence toward me. Shades of this interpretation are also found in the name heiligenschein: It is German for the light of the holy one. 4, record 23, English, - Heiligenschein

Once backpressure was put on the formation, it shut the production down. In our particular case, one of the reasons it did was that we had low formation pressure. Plastic melt that enters the head first is also first to leave. Thermal ink-transfer printers have found applications in many fields due to their small size, quiet operation, high-quality printing, and low maintenance.
