Yield components of crops. The yield of a grain crop plant can be divided into various components which together contributed to the yield. These components include : Heads, ears or pods per acre... Number of kernels or seeds per head, ear or pod... Weight per kernel or seed... Any crop production factor which decreases any one of these factors results in decreased yield.... Full yield potential is almost never achieved because environmental conditions may limit one or more of the yield components during the growing season. 2, record 1, English, - yield%20component

Virtual reality (VR) has been an area of research for over 40 years yet only recently has it begun to achieve public acceptance. One key to this has been the development of "cinematic virtual reality" (CVR) where media fidelity approaches that found in feature film. Unlike traditional VR, CVR limits the level of control users have within the environment to choosing viewpoints rather than interacting with the world itself. This means that CVR production arguably represents a new type of filmmaking. 2, record 2, English, - cinematic%20virtual%20reality

Cinematic virtual reality(cinematic VR) is one of the emerging mediums alongside virtual reality(VR) and augmented reality(AR) with the production of more advanced head mounted displays(HMD) headsets and 360 cameras. It can be argued that cinematic VR and VR are the same medium, both utilising virtual environments(VEs) and HMD headsets with the major differences being primarily in interactivity. Cinematic VR draws heavily from the film industry while VR draws from the games industry. 3, record 2, English, - cinematic%20virtual%20reality

British Gas and Tracto-Technik jointly developed the technology called pipe bursting, which "allows the replacement of cast iron, clay, cement, and other fracturable pipes with a new main of the same or larger size for water, sewer, or production lines. "... Pipe bursting involves digging an entry pit at one end of the failed pipe and running a pneumatic pipe-bursting tool and an expander into the pipe through the pit opening. The pipe-bursting tool is a soil displacement hammer fitted with cutting blades. A steel line, attached to the head of the tool and to a winch on the other end of the pipe, keeps the line tight and helps guide the tool. As the pipe burster hammers through old pipe, the expander moves broken fragments and dirt out of the way to make room for new pipe, which is attached to the back of the tool and follows it into the void. Once backpressure was put on the formation, it shut the production down. In our particular case, one of the reasons it did was that we had low formation pressure. We developed a casing blow system in which instead of conveying the flash steam for the well bore to the atmosphere to keep the pressure off the formation, we started collecting that casing head steam and its accompanying distilled products. 1, record 13, English, - casing%20blow%20system

Another process somewhat related to extrusion blow molding is the extrusion/molded neck process. Still used today by Owens-Illinois, this is a proprietary process that traces its roots to glass-blowing technology. It is unique in that the bottle neck finish is injection molded and the bottle body is extrusion blow-molded. In this process, the two halves of a neck finish cavity or neckring are mounted to an actuating head assembly, which intermeshes with the two halves of the blow-mold cavity. The process cycle begins with the main body mold cavity open and the neckring cavity closed. The actuating head assembly moves downward to contact the extrusion die head. When it is in position, extrusion pressure fills the neck section with plastic melt. After it is held for one to two seconds, the head assembly moves upward while, simultaneously, the parison is extruded. When the head assembly reaches the top of its stroke, the blow-mold cavity closes on the parison. The remaining steps of parison pinch-off, blowing, and part removal all follow conventional techniques. Although the production cycle is somewhat slow, the process offers the quality advantage of an accurately molded neck and the process advantage of a parison held at both ends. 1, record 16, English, - extrusion%20molded%20neck%20blow%2Dmolding%20process

The [continuous extrusion blow-molding] process has three subcategories : the rising mold method, the rotary method, and the shuttle method.... In the shuttle method a blowing station is located on one or both sides of the extruder. As the parison reaches the proper length, the blow mold and clamp quickly shuttle to a point under the extrusion head, capture and cut the parison, and return to the blowing station. With dual sided machines, the clamps shuttle on an alternating basis. For increased production output, multiple extrusion heads are used. 2, record 17, English, - shuttle%20blow%20molding%20machine

Hamid Ahmad has chosen beef for his studies on the production, processing, and storage of dried meat products. Mr Hamid is the head of the IDRC-supported Meat Processing Project of the Pakistan Council for Scientific and Industrial Research(PCSIR) in Lahore. His research team has concentrated on the development of products based on traditional Pakistani foods. The product they are most hopeful about is based on "barian", a food traditionally made mainly with pulses(edible seeds of leguminous plants). Because of rising costs and hygiene problems, the practice of using mutton in barian is not as common as it once was. By incorporating beef into the barian, the protein content of this widely used food product is greatly enhanced. 1, record 22, English, - barian
