What is MASH? This is a serious form of another condition called metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MASLD). It used to be called nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH). With MASH, your liver swells from excess fat along with inflammation. MASH can cause cell damage that affects how well your liver works. Over time(usually many years), you may get liver scarring that doesn’t heal. Doctors call this cirrhosis, but it doesn’t happen to everyone. 4, record 5, English, - metabolic%20dysfunction%2Dassociated%20steatohepatitis

Rain fell as high as 1700 m in some areas, soaking the upper snowpack. Expect a raincrust to form below this elevation as temperatures begin to cool the next few days, and then expect this to be covered with additional new snow. There are a few weak layers in this storm snow and, while warm temperatures are helping heal these weaknesses, whumpfing and cracking was still reported in the Kootenay Pass area on a north facing slope at 2100 m. For the most part new snow is sticking well to the Christmas crust buried 50-70 cm deep. This crust is providing a good bridging layer for the weak facet and surface hoar crystals below the crust, but this layer still remains a concern. 1, record 26, English, - bridging%20layer
Record number: 26, Textual support number: 1 OBS
In avalanche forecasting, a bridging layer [= une couche dure] is a layer of strong (hard) snow that is often quick thick. Once a layer gets to a certain thickness and hardness, it has enough strength to absorb the load that is applied from above, thus preventing this load from triggering a weakness underneath this "bridge." If ever the "bridge" fails then the result is normally a very large avalanche. 2, record 26, English, - bridging%20layer

Laser annealing of ion-implantation damage was perhaps the first area of laser processing investigated. This is one reason why there is wide-spread use of the term laser annealing to describe the entire field of laser wafer processing. The laser's ability in the following areas is well documented-for instance, the annealing of : 1. Polycrystaline silicon to increase grain size, 2. Polysilicon films to decrease sheet resistivity, 3. Ion implantation to diffuse dopant, 4. Ion implantation to heal stress areas, but the laser wafer annealer has applications beyond this, including : 1. Trimming resistors and capacitors, 2. Serializing wafers, 3. IC failure analysis, 4. Mask repair. 2, record 31, English, - laser%20annealing
