Healing Our Nations was established in 1993 by Mi’kmaq and Maliseet peoples concerned about HIV/AIDS and the effect it could have on their communities. HON provides support and financial aid to Aboriginal Persons Having AIDS (with a valid status card issued by the Government of Canada) and educational workshops and materials to the 31 First Nations communities throughout Canada’s Atlantic region.
