This research highlight summarizes the results of a study prompted by the very high rates of severe lower respiratory tract infections(LRTI) among Inuit children in Nunavut and Alaska. Initiated by the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in collaboration with Health Canada, the Nunavut Housing Corporation, and CMHC, the project's first two phases measured indoor air quality(IAQ) and ventilation rates for houses in selected Nunavut communities. The Municipal Financing Corporation of Saskatchewan(MFC) was established in 1969 under the authority of The Municipal Financing Corporation Act. The purposes of MFC is to assist in making capital funds available for the financing of sewer and water, school, hospital, and other essential construction and local improvement projects by municipalities, school divisions and health districts.
