The Regulatory Law Directorate is responsible for the conduct of proceedings involving some 20 federal departments and agencies in Quebec. Its legal services are more specifically specialized in the areas of corrections, employment insurance, customs and excise, environment, labour law, health and civil liability. Also, a team of prosecutors is specifically in charge of proceedings in matters of extradition and international assistance. Counsels within the Directorate represent client departments and agencies before federal tribunals and other courts of law.
