Abortion access is a critical component of comprehensive reproductive health care; it is vital for maintaining bodily autonomy as well as promoting individual and community health, safety, and well-being. In the United States, approximately [one in four] people with the capacity for pregnancy will seek first trimester abortion care by the age of 45. Both medication and procedural abortions are safe, with complications being rare. Despite this, 89% of US counties do not provide abortion care, and thousands of people face numerous barriers each to access the care they critically need. These barriers can take the form of restrictive state or federal laws, financial limitations, religious prohibitions within certain health systems, and widespread stigma associated with being an abortion provider. 3, record 3, English, - abortion%20access

Healthism is roughly the(pervasive and penetrating) ideology according to which people are socially obligated to prioritize and value health and "healthy living" over other goals and without exception... Under healthism, people are expected to modulate and discipline multiple dimensions of their life through the lens of health : we should eat healthy food, maintain a healthy weight, build healthy relationships, which in turn sustain healthy boundaries, make sure to keep a healthy attitude towards life, buy products to ensure healthy skin, safeguard healthy finances, and so forth. If we make a decision that does not maximize health in a narrow physical sense, like eating a piece of chocolate cake or skipping a workout, we are socially encouraged to justify that choice, not in terms of reasonable competing values, but in terms of our "mental health" or our need for "self-care. In a telemedicine system, a patient is geographically removed from the presence of a doctor or other healthcare provider. For example, the patient could be at home instead of on site at a healthcare facility. Telemedical devices enable the healthcare provider to monitor the health status of a patient and potentially diagnose and treat some medical problems without the need for the patient to travel to the healthcare facility. The use of telemedical systems has the potential to reduce the cost of healthcare, and to improve the quality of healthcare through increased patient monitoring. Various known telemedicine systems provide a device to a patient that enables the patient to transmit medical data to a doctor or healthcare provider. Some devices are configured to record biosignals, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration rates, and transmit data of the recorded biosignals to a database for later review. 1, record 10, English, - biosignal

In the case of health data, the purpose limitation principle is not absolute, as secondary use of health data is often vital for management and improvement of public health systems. As such, health-related data, including data on various determinants of health, are an important resource for policy-making, health systems management and research. 2, record 11, English, - health%20data

The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges to healthcare services. Concerns about hospital services being overwhelmed led National Health Service(NHS) institutions to develop novel approaches to caring for patients with suspected COVID-19. These include virtual hospitals(VH) where patients who have come to the attention of hospital services and need close monitoring, but do not necessarily need inpatient care, are followed remotely by hospital-based clinicians. VHs are particularly valuable during periods of high disease prevalence, when inpatient hospital services are struggling to cope. 1, record 12, English, - virtual%20hospital

... one reason that bone health is difficult to maintain is that the skeleton is simultaneously serving two different functions that are in competition with each other. First, bone must be responsive to changes in mechanical loading or weight bearing, both of which require strong bones that have ample supplies of calcium and phosphorus. When these elements are in short supply the regulating hormones take them out of the bone to serve vital functions in other systems of the body. Thus the skeleton can be likened to a bank where we can deposit calcium or phosphorus and then withdraw them later in times of need. However, too many withdrawals weaken the bone and can lead to the most common bone disorder, fractures. 3, record 16, English, - bone%20health

Agriculture drones have a wide range of uses. For starters, they can be used in monitoring crop growth in real time. By taking aerial photographs... or videos... of large farm fields, farmers and agriculturists can identify potential problems with their crops before they become serious issues.... Drones in agriculture have also helped lower labor costs associated with traditional crop production practices by reducing the need for manual labor in areas such as scouting pest and disease infestations, detecting soil variations, measuring water content in the soil, or assessing fertilizer requirements. Additionally, some advanced models come equipped with sensors that measure light, temperature, pH levels in soil, and other essential parameters related to crop health. 5, record 17, English, - agricultural%20drone

2, record 22, French, - universalisme%20proportionn%C3%A9

Survivor guilt. The issue of guilt in those who survive a terrorist attack appears in some reports... This seems to be part of meaning-making, so the person not only wonders why they were a victim but also why they survived while others were injured or died.... Workers need to help victims of terrorism understand that survivor guilt is not an uncommon reaction. Furthermore, you can help victims make sense of the attack, its impact on their life and get them to incorporate that knowledge into a future focus. Obviously, if this reaction is causing much distress, a referral to a mental health professional may also be helpful. 1, record 23, English, - survivor%20guilt

But they are not usually visible to others.... some people with non-visible disabilities might have a "dynamic disability. The Action Plan proposes to enhance Canada's health and safety protection system by : supporting collaboration; strengthening safety programs; and replacing outdated statutes with new regimes. 1, record 52, French, - Plan%20d%27action%20pour%20assurer%20la%20s%C3%A9curit%C3%A9%20des%20produits%20alimentaires%20et%20de%20consommation

On behalf of the federal government and 15 partner departments, the Public Health Agency of Canada coordinates the Family Violence Initiative(FVI). With the long-term goal of reducing the occurrence of family violence in Canada. The FVI promotes public awareness of the risk factors of family violence and the need for public involvement in responding to it; strengthens the criminal justice, housing, and health systems to respond; and supports data collection, research and evaluation efforts to identify effective interventions. This initiative marks a new stage in federal efforts to reduce family violence. The issue of family violence has been integrated into ongoing programming in many government departments. We have learned that the best way to address family violence is to support a common vision and a coordinated approach. 2, record 73, English, - Family%20Violence%20Initiative

2, record 73, French, - Initiative%20de%20lutte%20contre%20la%20violence%20familiale

In an effort to lose weight, some people will try anything, including ill-advised weight loss methods like crash dieting. A crash diet is a diet that severely restricts caloric intake. In fact, these diets often restrict caloric intake so much that the dieter is bordering on starvation. In return for practically starving themselves, dieters are promised dramatic weight loss in just days or weeks. For example, a crash diet may offer dieters the chance to lose 10 to 20 pounds in just five to seven days and even more in the weeks to come. 2, record 74, English, - crash%20diet

There's a lot to worry about with crash dieting, as it deprives a person of the nutrients and calories they need for optimum health and survival. Many people think of calories negatively, but a person actually needs a certain number of calories to maintain basic bodily functions, such as breathing. When a person consumes too few calories because of a crash diet, they may actually put their health at serious risk. Many crash diets require a person to consume less than 1200 calories per day, and some even go as low as 700 or 800 calories daily. For the average person, this is simply too few calories. 2, record 74, English, - crash%20diet

To resolve the question of a product's nature, the marketer must determine whether the product comes within the category of foodstuffs or another category, in particular that of medicine. This question is critical where the product is a food supplement, i. e. a product with a nutritional aim or other health food. Under French law, food supplements do not exist presently as a separate category of products. Arctic communities, with the general and specific medical and health problems found in this region, obviously share this need with the rest of the world. The health problems and needs of northern peoples has become the focus of the only organization of its kind dedicated to the health problems of the circumpolar regions — the International Union for Circumpolar Health. 1, record 85, English, - International%20Union%20for%20Circumpolar%20Health

Landfill gas is a threat to human health and global warming, and flaring or utilizing it for energy greatly reduces its climate change impact. Burning LFG [landfill gas] also serves to mitigate its public health impact by destroying the majority of hazardous air pollutants in landfill gas through the combustion process. Furthermore, using LFG to produce electricity avoids the need to generate electricity at traditional power plants and thus reduces air pollution from these plants. However, LFG combustion produces minute quantities of dioxins, an extremely toxic group of chemicals that are harmful even in very small amounts. 4, record 93, English, - LFG%20combustion

1, record 94, French, - Politique%20strat%C3%A9gique%20sur%20l%27apprentissage

We have seen a number of name changes over the last 60 years as the words Blue Cross were becoming synonymous worldwide with quality health care coverage. We were founded as the Maritime Hospital Service Association in 1943 and became known as the Maritime Blue Cross-Blue Shield Association in 1954. We became Blue Cross of Atlantic Canada in 1986 and, when joined with Maritime Medical Care in 1999, the trade name Atlantic Blue Cross Care was adopted. Our expansion into the Quebec and Ontario markets led to the need for a new name that would encompass all three regions. We created the name "Medavie" because it decribes our business and works well in both our English and French markets. Medavie is derived from the English and French words for "medical" and "to life". We offer everything from medical to life insurance. 1, record 98, English, - Medavie%20Blue%20Cross

1, record 98, French, - Croix%20Bleue%20Medavie
