The Data Coordination and Access Program(DCAP) of the Office of Public Health Practice(OPHP) acquires and manages centralized data holdings which are used by analysts across the Public Health Agency of Canada(PHAC) as well as Health Canada via the Data Extraction and Analysis application(DEXA). DCAP operates as a data broker on behalf of PHAC in the development of data sources and in the standardized, protected acquisition of data related to health. DCAP coordinates data requirements through PHAC s Health Surveillance Coordination Committee(HSCC) and provides a liaison function with Statistics Canada, CIHI and other data providers to represent the Agency's requirements and negotiate data sharing agreements. The Canadian Association of Thoracic Surgeons represents thoracic surgeons in Canada. We provide subspeciality clinical care for patients with a wide range of pulmonary, esophageal, and mediastinal diseases.
