The Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation(AHSC) offers a wide range of primary through tertiary level health care services delivered by a dedicated staff of 4, 400 employees and 275(active) physicians. Twenty-one clinical programs are delivered through in-patient, emergency, ambulatory and community/home care settings. Saint John is the primary referral centre for the people of this region and, in a number of tertiary services, for people throughout the province. University of Toronto. The Centre for Health Promotion is an extra-departmental unit of the Department of Public Health Sciences, in the Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto. It was established in 1989 as a result of efforts of faculty and students in the Division of Community Health, and was funded initially through the Bertha Rosenstadt Endowment Fund.
