War Veterans Allowance(WVA) is a form of financial assistance available from Veterans Affairs Canada(VAC), pursuant to the War Veterans Allowance Act. In recognition of war service, qualified persons are provided with a regular monthly income to meet their basic needs. Eligibility is determined by the wartime service of a veteran or qualified civilian, age or health, income and residency. The amount of WVA is based on income, marital/common-law partner status and number of dependants.

In a telemedicine system, a patient is geographically removed from the presence of a doctor or other healthcare provider. For example, the patient could be at home instead of on site at a healthcare facility. Telemedical devices enable the healthcare provider to monitor the health status of a patient and potentially diagnose and treat some medical problems without the need for the patient to travel to the healthcare facility. The use of telemedical systems has the potential to reduce the cost of healthcare, and to improve the quality of healthcare through increased patient monitoring. Various known telemedicine systems provide a device to a patient that enables the patient to transmit medical data to a doctor or healthcare provider. Some devices are configured to record biosignals, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration rates, and transmit data of the recorded biosignals to a database for later review.

La fève, Vicia faba est choisie comme première espèce végétale. C'est une plante supérieure dicotylédone, de la famille des Fabaceae (légumineuses). Nous utiliserons le cultivar Primabel de type «aguadulce» à longue cosse (longueur moyenne 25 cm), contenant 7 à 8 graines. Cette plante a déjà fait l'objet d'expérimentations dans la littérature et elle est recommandée par la norme AFNOR NF T 90-327 pour l'évaluation de la génotoxicité, du fait de sa grande sensibilité vis-à-vis des micropolluants et de sa facilité d'obtention. Par exemple, elle a déjà été utilisée pour étudier les effets mutagènes des micropolluants rencontrés dans l'environnement. C'est un bon indicateur car elle est très sensible avec de courtes périodes de traitement. Elle est donc actuellement utilisée comme plante sentinelle.

The Sickness Impact Profile is a behaviourally based questionnaire for patients and addresses activities such as sleep and rest, mobility, recreation, home management, emotional behaviour, social interaction, and the like. It measures the patient's perceived health status and is sensitive enough to detect changes or differences in health status occurring over time or between groups.

OBS

The Sickness Impact Profile contains 136 dichotomized items that are divided into 12 categories(dimensions). Each category represents a different aspect of daily functioning. Each item describes changes in behaviour attributable to health status.
