The heat of the earth is provided by solar radiation. A change in the angle of solar radiation and the surface of the earth causes changes in the ambient temperature. Sometimes, these changes reduce climatic comfort of human beings. Climatic comfort is established when there is a balance between excreted and absorbed temperatures of the skin of the body. 2, record 1, English, - climatic%20comfort

The radiation balance of the Earth system is an accounting of the incoming and outgoing components of radiation. These components are balanced over long time periods and over the Earth as whole, if they weren’t the Earth would be continually cooling or warming. However, over a short period of time, radiant energy is unequally distributed over the Earth. [In general, the radiation balance at the earth’s surface is positive by day and negative by night.] 9, record 8, English, - radiation%20balance

A portion of the sunlight that reaches Earth is absorbed into the system, while some of the light is reflected by our planet back into space. Some of the sunlight that gets absorbed is converted to heat and later emitted by the surface and atmosphere back up into space. The term "net radiation" refers to the total amount of sunlight and heat energy that does not escape from the top of the Earth’s atmosphere back into space. More precisely, net radiation is the sum total of shortwave and longwave electromagnetic energy, at wavelengths ranging from 0.3 to 100 micrometers, that remains in the Earth system. 11, record 8, English, - radiation%20balance

Accurate measurements of soil heat flux are important for energy balance studies on bare soils. Measurements are usually made with passive transducers that transform the vertical soil heat flux into an e. m. f.. Measurement errors or bias result from differences between the calibration coefficients provided by the manufacturer and those determined in the field. These differences result from bad thermal contact between the soil and the fluxmeter and/or changes in soil thermal conductivity. 2, record 18, English, - fluxmeter

The heart of the fluidized bed system is the reactor. The reactor is a refractory-lined steel shell with a bed of small inert particles, usually sand. Air is blown through the sand from the bottom which causes the bed to behave like a fluid. This fluid bed has an extremely high heat transfer rate which aids in combustion. Most of the combustion occurs in the fluid bed with the balance taking place in the vapour space above. Most fluid reactors add air only through the sand bed. 1, record 20, English, - sand%20bed

The purpose of a heating system is to make up the difference between the temperature resulting from internal heat gain minus losses to the exterior and the desired indoor temperature of the dwelling.... Figure 1. 14 illustrates the relationship between internal heat gain and external heat loss and the effect of this energy balance on the demand for alternative sources of heat... In the first diagram... line A crosses line B at a temperature below the ambient indoor temperature at which the external heat energy gains just equal the losses from conduction, infiltration and exfiltration. This is the crossover temperature. 1, record 26, English, - crossover%20temperature
