This paper deals with the preparation of paraffin/high density polyethylene(HDPE) composites as form-stable, solid-liquid phase change material(PCM) for thermal energy storage and with determination of their thermal properties. In such a composite, the paraffin(P) serves as a latent heat storage material and the HDPE acts as a supporting material, which prevents leakage of the melted paraffin because of providing structural strength. 1, record 3, English, - solid%2Dliquid%20phase%20change%20material

3, record 3, French, - mat%C3%A9riau%20%C3%A0%20changement%20de%20phase%20solide%20liquide

Leaks... fall into two basic types : internal leakage [such] as a thin oil film is built into the working parts of a hydraulic system. This lubricates the mating surfaces of valve spools, cylinder pistons, and other moving parts. Oil is not lost through this normal internal leakage since it eventually returns to the system reservoir. However, too much internal leakage will slow the operation of the system and waste power through the generation of heat. In some cases, it may cause cylinders to creep or drift. Or it may cause loss of oil control in the valves.... External oil leaks not only look bad-they can be expensive and hazardous.... A small leak can also be the signal for a hydraulic rupture that may injure a person while putting the machine out of operation.... Every joint in a hydraulic circuit is a potential point of leakage. This is why the number of connections in a system is kept at a minimum. Components can leak, but care in assembly and use of new seals and gaskets during overhaul will help to reduce this problem. 2, record 4, English, - leak

2, record 4, French, - fuite

Airtight construction. Any house has a large number of potential air leakage points... These leakage points let cold outside air in, and warm inside air out. As a result, in a conventional house, it is not uncommon for the heated indoor air to be completely changed every half hour. A major potential problem associated with this air change [is] condensation in the building's structure... There is in addition, a second problem : such air change typically accounts for 25-30 per cent of the total house heat loss... The use of an air-vapour barrier is an attempt to prevent these problems by stopping virtually all air leakage. 1, record 14, English, - airtight%20construction

In the closed-cycle gas turbine, essentially all the working medium(except for seal leakage, bleed loss, and any addition or extraction of working medium for control purposes) is continuously recycled. Heat from a source such as fossil fuel(or possibly, nuclear reaction) is transferred through the walls of a closed heater to the cycle. The closed cycle can be charged with gases other than air, such as helium, carbon dioxide or nitrogen. 1, record 15, English, - closed%2Dcycle%20gas%20turbine
