HEAT REGENERATION [5 records]

Record 1 2006-01-26

English

Subject field(s)
  • Anti-pollution Measures
CONT

Amine Sweetening Process... Rich amine is heated by hot regenerated lean amine in the heat exchanger. Rich amine is then further heated in the regeneration still column, by heat supplied from the reboiler. The steam rising through the still liberates H2S and CO2 and therefore regenerates the amine. Steam and acid gases separated from the rich amine are condensed and cooled, respectively, in the reflux condenser. Condensed steam is separated in the reflux accumulator and returned to the still. Acid gases may be flared or directed to an acid gas recovery system.

Domaine(s)
  • Mesures antipollution
CONT

Accumulateur de reflux : Le produit CO2 est disponible sous forme de gaz pur à 99.99% (sur base sèche), saturé d'eau et à une pression positive.

Record 2 2005-04-05

English

Subject field(s)
  • Petroleum Cracking
CONT

The three types of catalytic cracking processes are fluid catalytic cracking(FCC), moving-bed catalytic cracking, and Thermofor catalytic cracking(TCC).... In a typical Thermofor catalytic cracking unit, the preheated feedstock flows by gravity through the catalytic reactor bed. The vapors are separated from the catalyst and sent to a fractionating tower. The spent catalyst is regenerated, cooled, and recycled. The flue gas from regeneration is sent to a carbon-monoxide boiler for heat recovery.

CONT

In the early 1940s, Mobil commercialized a moving bed process called Thermofor Catalytic Cracking (TCC) and a new synthetic catalyst, which provided high octane aviation fuel for the Allied air effort throughout World War II.

PHR

TCCU [Thermofor catalytic cracking unit].

  • Craquage (Pétrole)
OBS

«Thermofor catalytic cracking» : dénomination d'un procédé de craquage catalytique à catalyseur mobile.

PHR
