There is in nature a common and inverse relationship between lipid unsaturation and temperature: high temperature leads to low unsaturation; low temperature leads to high unsaturation.... This response may be mediated through temperature-sensitive desaturases. 4, record 1, English, - thermosensitive

3, record 1, French, - thermosensible

Another innovation is the back-surface reflector(BSR). Even in photovoltaic devices operating at theoretical maximum efficiency, less than 40% of the light to which it is sensitive is absorbed by the cell and converted to electricity. The rest travels through unabsorbed and becomes a system loss. However, the BSR reflects this light back through the cell for a second pass, which greatly increases the conversion efficiency. Also, the BSR reflects radiation to which the cell is not sensitive. This radiation is called out-of-band radiation, and cannot be converted to electricity with this given material bandgap. By reflecting the out-of-band radiation back through the cell, it passes back out the front to the heat source where it is recycled.(Essentially, it helps keep the heat source hot so less fuel is required.) 2, record 2, English, - back%20surface%20reflector

G. Cotter Enterprises, Inc. has made tremendous advancements toward a finely tuned microwelding process. Microwelding originated with the mold makers needs in mind. [Since it is an] ultra sensitive method of welding, this skill is now applied to medical parts, electronic components, sensitive finished machined surfaces, polished surfaces, and any surfaces that would not lend themselves to conventional welding. The science behind microwelding is due to the tighter control of the arc in close spaces. The less heat added to the part, the least amount of distortion will result. Minimal sink(sink marks on the material surface due to melting into the base metal) is maintained through this process. Ultimately, precision microwelds lead to less rework, which in turn assist in lower cost for machining. In fact, many microwelds can be finished by hand. 1, record 3, English, - microwelding

Cellulose nitrate motion picture film stored in a mansory outbuilding at this museum of photography burst into flame spontaneously in mid-afternoon of a hot day. The building did not have automatic sprinklers or air conditioning for this heat-sensitive material. About 3000 reels, the original negatives of feature films, were lost. 1, record 4, English, - heat%20sensitive%20material
