Using the INSAR technique, it is possible to produce directly from SAR image data, detailed and accurate three-dimensional height maps of the Earth's surface topography. In addition, an extension of the basic technique, known as Differential INSAR(DINSAR), allows the detection of very small(centimetre-scale) motion of the land surface within an image. Furthermore, INSAR is emerging as a powerful tool for the detection of changes of land surface through the use of phase coherence. These possibilities open up many new potential applications of space-borne SAR data in the areas of cartography, volcanology, geomorphology, ice/glacial motion and land surface classification. 3, record 14, English, - interferometric%20synthetic%20aperture%20radar%20technique

The stands of juvenile trees don’t need to be spaced the same distance that mature trees require, because there is an optimum spacing which encourages natural pruning of lower branches. Such natural pruning is a desirable energy saver for the land owner. Also, conifers have a growth habit built in, called geotrophism, which is what makes a tree grow vertically rather than just meandering crookedly up to its finished height. Using the force of geotrophism to advantage, we may just crowd our trees just enough to keep them reaching higher than a specimen tree with its bushy branching and its severly bushy habit. All this doesn’t give you a formula to work with though, so try this approach. You should thin most stands of juvenile age to intermediate age trees to about eight feet apart. Later, as the trees mature, they could be spaced even farther to as much as twelve feet apart. 2, record 16, English, - natural%20pruning

Conditional Use Zoning. A request for rezoning may include conditions which restrict the use of the land further and more particularly than the basic zoning category does. Example : a property owner applies to rezone his property from R-10(medium density residential) to O&1-2(office and institutional). This office zone has no building height limit. After discussion with nearby residents, who object to the construction of a tall building on this site, the property owner includes a condition with the rezoning request; the condition limits building height to, say 50 feet. The conditions are attached to the zoning and are enforced as zoning regulations. Conditional use zoning permits modifications of the zoning regulations, to fit the particular needs of a situation. It is often thought of as a bargaining tool. 2, record 17, English, - conditional%20use%20zoning

The late 1980s were the height of Japan's "bubble economy, "when soaring land prices and cheap credit sent the Nikkei into the stratosphere, turning thousands of people into paper millionaires. The Nikkei topped out at 38, 915. 87 on Dec. 29, 1989. Since then tighter money policy and a mild recession have punctured the bubble. The value of stocks dropped by equivalent of over $2. 8 trillion Cdn, more than half, in a generally gradual decline that has lasted 2 1/2 years. 2, record 23, English, - bubble%20economy
