Most troublesome for the conveyancer is the exemption for claims to land which have reverted to the Crown by forfeiture or cancellation of the letters patent, or articles of incorporation of companies which held the land at the time of forfeiture or cancellation. This provision apparently requires that a cautious conveyancer trace the chain of title back to the Crown patent to determine what corporations, if any, held the land and then check the status of those corporations during the period that they held the land.(Anger & Honsberger, 2nd ed., 1985, pp. 1121-2) 1, record 13, English, - Crown%20patent

The Organization of American States(OAS) is the world's oldest regional organization, dating back to the First International Conference of American States, held in Washington, D. C., from October 1889 to April, 1890. This meeting approved the establishment of the International Union of American Republics. The Charter of the OAS was signed in Bogota in 1948 and entered into force in December 1951. The Charter was subsequently amended by the Protocol of Buenos Aires signed in 1967, which entered into force in February 1970, and by the Protocol of Cartegena de Indias, signed in 1985, which entered into force in November 1988. In 1992, the Protocol of Washington was signed and in 1993 the Protocol of Managua entered into force on January 29, 1996. The OAS currently has 35 Member States. In addition, the Organization has granted Permanent Observer status to 37 States, as well as the European Union. 5, record 21, English, - Organization%20of%20American%20States

5, record 21, Spanish, - Organizaci%C3%B3n%20de%20los%20Estados%20Americanos

Internal frames are usually parallel aluminium staves in channels on the back of the pack. These are thinner and more flexible than frame staves found on external frames, and are usually either independent or only attached to one another at the top, so they flex and move with the wearer far more than is generally the case with external frames. This leads to greater freedom of movement, and also means that the pack body is closer in to the wearer's back, enabling the centre of mass to be held closer to the wearer's own. This isn’t as comfortable standing around as a high load, but it's a lot easier to balance it, especially off the trail in rougher stuff. 2, record 32, English, - internal%20frame

Valve gating. This type of gate is where a pin is held in the gate or channel by spring tension and as the plunger comes forward, it compresses the plastic in the runner. When this pressure build-up is sufficient to overcome the spring tension, the pin is then pushed back(pulled) and the fast decompression of the plastic fills the cavity at extremely high speed. 2, record 39, English, - valve%20gating

In-mould labeling(IML) is a relatively recent addition to the category of predecoration that is available for blow-molded plastic bottles.... The basic in-mold label system utilizes a paper label that has a heat-activated coating on the back side. The label is placed in the mold at the beginning of the blow-molding cycle before the mold closes around the parison.... The label is held in position by vacuum ports. When the parison of plastic is extruded and the molds close and air is injected to inflate the parison, the heat from the parison activates the label adhesive coating. During the mold-close cycle, the combination of the high inject air pressure and the cold-mold surface causes the adhesive to set and the label to adhere to the bottle surface in a heat-seal fashion. 2, record 40, English, - in%2Dmold%20labeling

A thin flat T-shaped blade, 10-12 in measured along the cutting edge, without a poll, and ground on one side only. The tapered socket springs from the middle of the back of the blade; in some patterns it is an extension of the blade, bent over to form a triangular socket. The handle is offset.... This tool is used for listing staves, i. e. chopping off the "waney" irregular edges and trimming them; this is done with the stave held almost horizontal on the block. It is also used for rough-shaping the circular outline of the heads and for chopping away the bevel on the back of the heads before using the Heading Knife.... 1, record 55, English, - cooper%26rsquo%3Bs%20axe

Even the smallest rabbittry benefits from an automatic or semi-automatic system. The simplest watering system is semi-automatic. You fill a holding tank(perhaps just a large bucket) elevated above the hutches, and the water flows down through pipes alongside the cages. Valves are inserted into the pipe at each cage. The rabbits bite on the valves to release the water. There are two types of valves. The "dewdrop" valve has a metal stem in it which is dislodged when bit or licked. This allows the water to trickle through. After a rabbit has stopped drinking, the stem drops back into the valve opening and is held in place by the water pressure. 1, record 56, English, - dewdrop%20valve
