In the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign(GCWCC) a Major Donor is an individual who donates $5, 000 or more to United Way, Healthpartners and/or one of the 86, 000 registered Canadian charities(including religious and educational institutions.) They help ensure that the GCWCC continues to play a central role in community-building and, in doing so, inspire others to do the same.

The GIFTS system is a powerful Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign analysis tool that can help you track and report on your campaign. This tool permits each Federal Department or Agency to record and track the progress of their GCWCC Campaign as well as perform in-depth analysis through detailed reports. The system also allows local United Way/Centraides to monitor the daily progress of their departmental campaigns, analyse the GCWCC daily campaign totals and even generate receipts for the donors.
