The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association is a national bilingual association of professionally trained counsellors engaged in the helping professions. CCPA's members work in many diverse fields of education, employment and career development, social work, business, industry, mental health, public service agencies, government and private practice.

In striving to fulfill [its] mandate, the CCPA promotes policies and practices which support the provision of accessible, competent, and accountable counselling services throughout the human lifespan, and in a manner sensitive to the pluralistic nature of society. CCPA strives to understand the needs of the diverse community of counsellors and psychotherapists in Canada and aspires to being inclusive in its membership and to being a strong voice for the promotion of counselling.

L'Association canadienne de counseling et de psychothérapie est une association nationale bilingue de conseillers et conseillères professionnellement formés et engagés dans la relation d’aide. L'ACCP compte des membres à travers le pays, qui œuvrent dans différents domaines de l'éducation, de l'emploi et du développement de carrière, du travail social, des affaires, de l'industrie, de la santé mentale, des agences de services publics, au gouvernement et en pratique privée.
