Founded in 1954, the Sault Naturalists is an international club with about 100 members from both Ontario and Michigan. [It is] affiliated with Ontario Nature, Michigan Audubon Society, and Nature Canada. These affiliations allow [this club] to have a voice in environmental issues at the state, provincial, and national levels. [It] also receives current information from these groups and have access to their expertise, publications, and facilities. The club objectives are to provide members with a common meeting ground for exchanging ideas and for broadening their knowledge and understanding of natural science; to promote the appreciation, preservation, and conservation of natural heritage; and to support and co-operate with other organizations having similar aims. The club is active in environmental advocacy, stewardship, and education and has participated in planning for national and provincial parks. 2, record 1, English, - Sault%20Naturalists

The UASBC is a 175 member group of volunteer, avocational underwater archaeologists. We are mostly from British Columbia but also have members who live all over North America. The Society is the largest diving club in British Columbia, and one of the largest and most active heritage organisations in the province. The UASBC assists archaeologists by undertaking worthwhile projects not currently addressed by professionals. Inventories of shipwrecks and other submerged cultural sites are an especially important contribution. Information about the location, history, and status of these resources is vital to their conservation and management. 1, record 4, English, - Underwater%20Archaeological%20Society%20of%20British%20Columbia
