This paper presents a cooperative, multi-robot solution for searching, excavating, and transporting mineral resources on the Moon.... Our results demonstrate the potential of using autonomous robots for autonomous in-situ resource utilization(ISRU) on the Moon.... To fulfill the mission requirements, a heterogeneous team of up to six rovers could be selected from three types of rovers : scout, hauler, and excavator... Each rover had unique capabilities to assist in the lunar ISRU mission task. The scout rover was equipped with a sensor package to detect volatile resources of different types underground. The excavator rover included a 4 degrees of freedom robotic arm with a bucket end-effector to collect the resources. The hauler rover included a truck bed to transport the resources to the processing plant. 1, record 2, English, - hauler%20rover

6, record 4, French, - syndrome%20de%20Noonan

Two pathways to glaciogenic cloud seeding were developed. Static seeding aims at using modest or "optimal" amount of seeds with the target of forming ice (or snow) crystals that collect supercooled droplets in a process called riming, which leads to formation of graupels and their precipitation. The dynamic seeding aims at rapid glaciation of the whole cloud by using large amounts of seeds. 2, record 11, English, - dynamic%20cloud%20seeding

1, record 11, French, - ensemencement%20dynamique

They are growths, like tumours found in organs as a result of faulty development. They are normally made up of a mixture of tissues. They contain mucus-filled glands, with retention cysts, abundant connective tissue, and a chronic cellular infiltration of eosinophils. They grow at the normal rate of the host tissue and rarely cause problems such as compression. A common example of a hamartomatous lesion is a strawberry naevus. Hamartomatous polyps are often found by chance; occurring in syndromes such as Peutz-Jegher syndrome or juvenile polyposis syndrome. 2, record 41, English, - hamartomatous%20polyp

In biomedical applications nanoparticles are used as drug carriers or imaging agents. For this purpose the nanoparticle may have a hollow structure providing a central reservoir that can be filled with anticancer drugs, detection agents, or chemicals, known as "reporters," that can signal if a drug is having a therapeutic effect. The surface of a nanoparticle can also be adorned with various targeting agents, such as antibodies, drugs, imaging agents, and reporters. The mechanisms for autosomal-dominant gene mutations are much more heterogeneous than those demonstrated for autosomal recessive traits. It has been suggested that autosomal-dominant diseases in general are more likely to be caused by mutations affecting structural proteins. Autosomal dominant inheritance is recognized by the following criteria : the trait is transmitted to half the children of each affected individual; unaffected individuals do not transmit the trait, so the trait appears in an unbroken sequence of generations with no skips; and males and females are equally likely to have and to transmit the trait. Many dominant traits are not fully penetrant, so the ideal pattern may not be apparent. 2, record 44, English, - autosomal%20dominant%20trait

Peptide antibiotics fall into two broad classes whose evolutionary biology is very different. The first is a large and heterogeneous category of peptides that are synthesized on very large, modular enzyme complexes by bacteria and fungi... The second category is quite different. It comprises linear peptides consisting almost entirely of conventional amino acid residues that are produced by all major kinds of organisms(including microbes). These are translated using ribosomes in the usual fashion of protein synthesis, and we therefore call them RAMPs, for ribosomally synthesized antimicrobial peptides, to distinguish them from the non-RAMPs of the first category. 2, record 46, English, - non%2Dribosomally%20synthesized%20antimicrobial%20peptide

Peptide antibiotics fall into two broad classes whose evolutionary biology is very different. The first is a large and heterogeneous category of peptides that are synthesized on very large, modular enzyme complexes by bacteria and fungi.... The second category is quite different. It comprises linear peptides consisting almost entirely of conventional amino acid residues that are produced by all major kinds of organisms(including microbes). These are translated using ribosomes in the usual fashion of protein synthesis, and we therefore call them RAMPs, for "ribosomally synthesized antimicrobial peptides" to distinguish them from the non-RAMPs of the first category. 1, record 54, English, - ribosomally%20synthesized%20antimicrobial%20peptide

These RNA molecules are important in a number of processes including RNA splicing(removal of the introns from hnRNA [heterogeneous nuclear RNA]) and maintenance of the telomeres, or chromosome ends. They are always found associated with specific proteins and the complexes are referred to as small nuclear ribonucleoproteins(snRNP) or sometimes as snurps. 3, record 63, English, - small%20nuclear%20RNA

If [we] look at the phenomenon of labour supply and the people already working in the labour force, it is true that the taxes levied on them do not have much effect on their incentive to work. We are not able to explain much of their behaviour or the economic phenomena as a result of changes in incentives. However, incentives still do matter for various sub-segments of the labour force. The first class corresponds to the homogeneous areas in which the speckles may be eliminated simply by applying an LP filter(or equivalently, averaging, multi-look processing). The second class corresponds to the heterogeneous areas in which the speckles are to be reduced while preserving texture and the third class [refers to] areas containing isolated point targets... Open GISs are integrated systems and tools that provide interoperability among data and processes for solving geospatial problems. One aspect of providing interoperability is to overcome the difficulties caused by the data conversion required in current GIS implementations. GIS users are usually faced with the problem of converting geospatial data from many sources and GIS platforms; it has been found that up to 80% of the time and cost of any GIS implementation is spent on populating the GIS database. Open GISs are expected to overcome this obstacle by utilizing geospatial metadata and spatial data transfer standards. Although opinions currently differ on geospatial data and geoprocessing standardization and on the specifics of the architecture of open GISs, it is generally agreed that, at a minimum, they should automate the task of populating GIS databases. In addition to data interoperability, open GISs should facilitate simple strategies for application development(model integration), and provide solutions on highly distributed heterogeneous computing environments that include computing resources ranging from desktop machines to supercomputers. This course addresses the current trends and approaches for building open GISs and discusses future directions for these GISs. Also covered are the benefits of open GISs to GIS users and developers.
