L'objectif du Hire North Project (projet : Embauchez les gens du Nord) est double. Premièrement, il vise à former les autochtones du Nord à divers métiers par une formation sur place. Deuxièmement, il vise à construire une portion de l'autoroute Mackenzie. (Rapport annuel du Gouvernement des Territoires-du-Nord-Ouest, Yellowknife, 1976, p. 58).

Dans le document de l'Office de la langue française cité dans la précédente observation, il aurait fallu lire «Territoires du Nord-Ouest», le nom de ce territoire canadien ne s'étant jamais écrit avec une série de traits d'union.
