By promoting Indigenous tourism, [the] actions seek to create opportunities for Indigenous communities to share their stories and cultural heritage with a broader audience, while also generating economic benefits. This approach helps to address historical injustices by providing a platform for Indigenous voices and perspectives, while simultaneously encouraging mutual respect and understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Indigenous tourism also plays a crucial role in preserving and revitalizing traditional practices, languages, and art forms, contributing to cultural continuity and strengthening community pride. 2, record 2, English, - Indigenous%20tourism

[History of Inuit Art :] Historical Overview of Epochs... People have been living in the Yukon region for almost 30 000 years and their history can be separated into several epochs : Pre-Dorset, Dorset, Thule, Historic and Contemporary.... The Historical Period[. ] This period is marked by several occurrences : the demise of Thule culture, a climatic change wherein weather was increasingly cold, the disappearance of the whales and the arrival of the white man in the 16th century. Around 1800, the various carvings, dolls, and toys were being traded with the whalers, sailors and explorers who were making increasingly frequent visits in the area. Trade art often was more detailed and exquisite than non-trade art of the time. By the early twentieth century, trade art had lost the magico-religious element and some areas even produced European objects such as Roman Catholic figurines, cigarette boxes, and cribbage boards. Increasingly, Inuit art forms were suited toward Europeans. 1, record 6, English, - Historical%20Period

Arming for the data wars. The news and data streaming endlessly through computers is a big business in its own right. Last year, the four main companies-Bloomberg, Bridge, Dow Jones and Reuters-together collected $4. 4 billion of sales for providing the information that lubricates the workings of the financial markets. What makes each service unique is the historical data it offers and the number-crunching software it provides for customers to analyse the data. If, say, a fund manager has a peculiar hunch that price swings in French shares might affect the way American municipal bonds fluctuate, he needs decades of prices and a sophisticated way to process them. A vendor that can provide him only two years of stock prices will not meet his needs. Although Reuters’ breadth of information remains unmatched, it has yet to master the art of supplying historical data packaged up with analytical software. For now, that market belongs to Bloomberg. 4, record 18, English, - knowledge%20warfare
