The International Conference of Labour Historians(ITH)-founded in 1964 [under the name of International Conference of Historians of the Labour Movement]-is a non-governmental organization which promotes the exchange of information among social historians of different political and ideological views and persuasions. The ITH is established as an umbrella organization for institutes, associations and societies dealing with social-historical questions, especially the historiography of labour and its movements. There are member institutes from more than thirty countries now affiliated within the ITH. [Present name adopted in 1990].
