Blount's disease occurs in children with no apparent abnormality at birth, having a typical history of "genu varum" worsening with gait before the age of 2 years. The less frequent juvenile onset may occur between 4 and 10 years and the adolescent form over 11 years.... Blount's disease is believed to result from abnormal compression of the medial aspect of the proximal tibial physes, causing retardation of growth in that area or increased growth laterally of the proximal tibia or fibula... In juvenile Blount's disease, the etiology is less clear and may relate more to malalignment, leading to the characteristic changes visible on radiographs. 3, record 1, English, - juvenile%20Blount%26rsquo%3Bs%20disease

[The study] recommends the use of stage-structured models in which stages are embedded within age classes. This effectively increases the number of stages in a model. Such a population matrix can be constructed if one collects information on the stage of individuals in addition to age in order to construct a life table in which individuals are categorized into different age and stage classes. This approach is also useful when life history strategies are complex or when they do not exhibit age-dependent changes in vital rates. 1, record 3, English, - stage%2Dstructured%20model

Gout presents in birds in two not entirely distinct syndromes : visceral and articular. Articular gout is most common in older budgies and is thought to be associated with renal tubular changes due to Vitamin A deficiencies. High plasma uric acid levels and urate joint... render a very guarded prognosis, even with the use of anti-gout medications. Visceral gout is characterized by large amount of urates deposited in serosal areas, particularly the pericardium and peritoneum. Virtual history, also referred to as counterfactual history, is a form of history which attempts to answer "what if" questions. It seeks to explore history and historical processes from the point of view of extrapolating a position in which certain key historical events did not happen or had an outcome which was different to that which did in fact occur. Les Anglais disent What if? 1, record 11, French, - histoire%20contrefactuelle

The history of Swedish from the Common Scandinavian period(600-1050) until c. 1225 is known chiefly from numerous runic inscription. Radical changes took place in the language, especially in the sound system, during the 14th and 15th centuries. Modern Swedish is usually dated from 1526 when a translation of the New Testament was first printed. 1, record 15, English, - Old%20Swedish
