Any one or several of the hoists ... may be attached to the bridge [crane], usually suspended from a trolley attached to an I-beam track. The combination of a hoist on a track and the bridge crane itself moving on tracks provides for usable movement of equipment within a rectangular area governed only by the length of the bridge and the total horizontal movement of the bridge or gantry crane.
