English

Subject field(s)
  • Clothing Storage
CONT

Garment racks—also called clothing racks—are really just racks that hold your clothing. They come in an array of different shapes and sizes, but all of them are fit for holding a small portion of your wardrobe. Unlike wardrobes, they’re usually free-standing and open, letting you put some of your favorite pieces on display—and of course, expand your closet.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Rangement des vêtements
DEF

Présentoir où sont accrochés les vêtements [...]

CONT

What is snowskating?... it's skateboarding on snow. That's just the most basic explanation out there, but of course there a some more variables.... There is the technical side of snowskating that resembles the street style way of skateboarding with its flips and ollies. At the other end of the spectrum there is the surf-like snowskating style like longboards on snow, where you find your way through deep pow in a flow way of riding. The first snowboard was called the Snurfer which was invented around 1964. It consisted of some sort of small surfboard and a rope in front of the board to hold on too. There were no bindings present, so you could say the first snowboard was actually a snowskate.

DEF

OBS

In such cases, where the trustees hold as legal joint tenants in trust for persons entitled in common in equity, the "jus accrescendi" will, of course, operate with respect to the legal interest upon the death of one of the trustees.(Crossley Vaines, 5th ed., 1973, p. 57).

French

Domaine(s)
  • Yachting et navigation de plaisance
CONT

The forward stroke is the same for both bow and stern paddlers. Of course there [are] all kinds of fancy techniques you can learn, but you should know that the upper hand on the paddle grips the handle on top, and does not hold the thing like... a golf club. The lower arm, holding the paddle's throat-does most of the work, so you might switch paddling sides once in a while to keep both arms evenly exercised.

CONT

For projects using brick, make certain you have a brick trowel, brick chisel, mason's hammer, 4 ft. level, tape measure, pointing trowel, jointing tool, mason's line, wood line blocks and spirit level. The height and thickness of your walls are always important... Be sure to leave a space between bricks for your joint. This method is best to determine the spacing of your bricks. Then, drive a stake in the ground at both ends of your wall and stretch mason's line between them. The line will serve as a straight line guide and should mark the outside edge and top of your first course of bricks. Later, as you proceed, the guideline can be moved up to match each successive course of bricks. Line blocks can be used to hold line in place... When laying bricks, always start at the corners and keep the corners higher than the rest of your work. Work from the corners toward the center of your wall. Use the level frequently to check level and plumb. As the wall increases in height, move the line blocks up to the ends of your corner lead.

CONT

Use plastic line blocks to attach line to corners and ends, which are always built up first. Lay bricks flush with line, but do not push it out. Line blocks, unlike pins and nails, leave no holes in mortar to be filled in later.
