It is designed to temporarily hold and soak in rain water runoff that flows from roofs, driveways, patios or lawns. Rain gardens are effective in removing up to 90% of nutrients and chemicals and up to 80% of sediments from the rainwater runoff. Literally, a crop in the process of growth, an unmatured crop. But a disputed term in legal parlance. Some authorities hold that a growing crop may be either above or below the surface of the soil, while other authorities hold that a crop is not a growing crop unless it shows above ground, and that underground sprouts do not constitute such a crop. Again, some authorities hold that a crop is growing from the time the seed is planted until the harvest, while other authorities hold that a matured, ungathered crop is not growing. Whether grass in a pasture is a growing crop is also a controverted question.(Ballentine's, 3rd ed., 1969, p. 538) 1, record 7, English, - growing%20crop

Flaking out of your rope. Before you can use your rope, you must uncoil it.... Climbers refer to this important uncoiling of their ropes as "flaking the rope out". To flake your rope out, hold it(coiled) in one hand and, with the other hand, remove every coil, one by one. Toss each coil on the ground... one on top of the other. You should form a loose pile of rope... This way the rope will easily follow you up the rock, without tangling on itself. 1, record 11, English, - flaking

Wheelbarrowing is a condition that arises when the nosewheel rather than the main gear is forced to support an abnormal share of the aircraft’s weight. Touching down on the nosewheel, excessive braking, or friction between the wheels and runway caused by a side-skid may cause wheelbarrowing. Wheelbarrowing can damage a nosewheel or cause an aircraft to yaw uncontrollably off its intended course.. 2, record 12, English, - wheelbarrowing
Record number: 12, Textual support number: 1 OBS
During take-off, "wheelbarrowing" may occur at lower speeds than during landing due to the slipstream increasing the lifting effect of the horizontal stabilizer. The use of excessive forward elevator control pressure during take-off to hold the aircraft on the ground to speeds above normal take-off speed could, if a "yaw" force is introduced, result in serious wheelbarrowing. 3, record 12, English, - wheelbarrowing

Surface Roughness. The surface of the ground has a major influence on early season avalanching. Roughness of surface determines the snow depth needed to fill irregularities, controls the amount of creep and significantly affects the ability of the snow to avalanche to the ground in many regions. Generally, the rougher the ground surface the more snow depth is required before avalanching will take place; broken terrain and boulder fields won’t become avalanche slopes until sufficient snow has fallen to cover most of the rocks. ... Professional hazard evaluators are using a figure of 30 to 60 cm, depending on location, as the minimum snow depth necessary to cover roughness of ground before natural avalanching occurs. This figure applies to many areas but should not be taken as an infallible rule of thumb. 2, record 13, English, - ground%20roughness

For projects using brick, make certain you have a brick trowel, brick chisel, mason's hammer, 4 ft. level, tape measure, pointing trowel, jointing tool, mason's line, wood line blocks and spirit level. The height and thickness of your walls are always important... Be sure to leave a space between bricks for your joint. This method is best to determine the spacing of your bricks. Then, drive a stake in the ground at both ends of your wall and stretch mason's line between them. The line will serve as a straight line guide and should mark the outside edge and top of your first course of bricks. Later, as you proceed, the guideline can be moved up to match each successive course of bricks. Line blocks can be used to hold line in place... When laying bricks, always start at the corners and keep the corners higher than the rest of your work. Work from the corners toward the center of your wall. Use the level frequently to check level and plumb. As the wall increases in height, move the line blocks up to the ends of your corner lead. 2, record 23, English, - line%20block

Densified Pellet Technology. Pellets are dried ground wood or other biomass waste compressed into small cylinders about 6 mm(1/4 in.) in diameter and 25 mm(1 in.) long. The pressure and heat created during their production binds the pellets together without the need for additives. Pellet-burning appliances include a hopper to hold at least 20 kg of fuel and a screw auger to move the pellets from the hopper into the combustion chamber. Pellets usually burn cleanly because they are fed to the combustion chamber at a controlled rate and are matched with the right amount of combustion air. These appliances are generally able to operate at lower emission levels than natural firewood appliances. 2, record 24, English, - densified%20pellet
