Under PARNS, Revenue Canada notifies participants electronically of releases under the Release Notification System. Participants such as customs account security holders(importers or brokers) can attach delivery instructions to a release record for the information of another participant, e. g., informing a warehouse operator or carrier to hold goods for pick-up. Participants such as sufferance warehouse operators can also notify customs of the arrival of goods.
