An increase in the thickness of clouds as described by cloud liquid water content would generally increase the albedo of the clouds... Greatest albedo change for given increase in liquid water is possible for relatively thin clouds since thick clouds are essentially saturated in brightness. Various suggestions have been offered as to how clouds might change with a warmer climate. A warmer atmosphere would hold more water vapour and possibly also more liquid water, hence cloud thickness could well increase. 1, record 27, English, - cloud%20thickness

Moisture in the atmosphere plays a greater role in weather and climate than any of the other constituents of the air. It is so significant that it is commonly considered separately from the remainder of the air by meteorologists. In one or more of its forms atmospheric moisture is a factor in cloudiness, visibility, precipitation, and humidity. By virtue of its ability to hold latent heat in its vapor and liquid forms, water is an important medium for the transfer of energy. 9, record 28, English, - atmospheric%20moisture

In the large bowel, fibre is partly digested by bacterial fermentation producing special fatty acids, which are essential for a healthy bowel. Fibre provides bulk and can also hold extra water. This action helps prevent constipation, haemorrhoids and diverticular disease and may be protective against bowel cancer. A high fibre diet is also associated with a lower risk of heart disease. Foods high in fibre are digested more slowly and this slows the rise in blood glucose after eating, which is useful for people with diabetes. 5, record 32, English, - high%20fibre%20diet

Two methods are commonly used for determining the specific gravities of liquids. One method uses the hydrometer, an instrument that gives a specific gravity reading directly. A second method, called the bottle method, uses a "specific-gravity bottle, "i. e., a flask made to hold a known volume of liquid at a specified temperature(usually 20°C). The bottle is weighed, filled with the liquid whose specific gravity is to be found, and weighed again. There are three principal types of augers used for well drilling : bucket augers, solid-stem augers, and hollow-stem augers.... Solid-stem augers consist of spiral flanges welded to a pipe. One length of pipe(or auger section) is called a flight; multiple auger sections are often referred to as continuous flighting. The leading auger flight has a special bit or cutter head attached that cuts a hole for the flights to follow. Flights are added as the hole is drilled deeper. Cuttings from the drilling process are brought to the surface by the action of the augers.... Hollow-stem augers are similar to solid-stem augers in design, except that drill rods can pass through the auger sections.... Because the flights are hollow, they can be used as temporary casing to hold the hole open while the permanent casing is installed. Wells drilled with hollow-stem augers have been used to construct water supply wells, but they are more often used to construct monitoring wells. 3, record 40, English, - hollow%20stem%20auger

Tufted carpets are made on a large sowing machine apparatus with many needles. Yarns are sown into a woven backing and if it is not dyed, that piece is called "Greige Goods". Bonding adhesive is then applied to the backside of the Greige Goods to hold yarns in place. The bonding adhesive is made of latex, clay, filler, oil, and water. Afterwards, a second woven backing is placed on the underside to add dimensional stability. Dimensional stability is what helps the carpet maintain its size and shape. If the secondary backing falls off, then the problem is called "delamination". 2, record 57, English, - tufted

It’s a good idea to prepare your garden soil a couple of weeks ahead of planting, too. Tilling the soil early will fool weeds into germinating early, and you can then pull them to reduce competition with your seedlings. When there is no longer any risk of frost, take the seedlings out of the pots and plant them into the garden. Water regularly (but don’t over water) and feed with a high quality fertilizer like PINK Vigoro or Instant Vigoro Water Soluble Plant Starter 10-52-10. 1, record 67, English, - plant%20starter

It's time to repot when you notice either of the following conditions : your plant needs water daily because it won’t hold any moisture or large roots are pushing through the drain hole. In both cases the root system has grown so big that very little soil is left in the pot. Find a slightly larger container, and transplant using good quality soil. To avoid or minimize transplant shock handle the roots gently and water well after repotting. A good plant starter fertilizer like 10-52-10 will help encourage root growth. 2, record 67, English, - plant%20starter

An increase in the thickness of clouds as described by cloud liquid water content would generally increase the albedo of the clouds but have little effect on the longwave emission of all but nonblack cirrus clouds. 2, record 76, English, - cloud%20liquid%20water%20content
