The European hinge, that is often used, has the ability to open in less than the space it requires for door overlap. In effect, the door mounted with these hinges opens in a space less than 5/8" which puts the edge of the door slightly inside the face frame opening. While this feature is extremely beneficial, particularly when two doors are close together, it means that a pull-out will rub or hit the door. To provent this, 1" by 2" cleats are installed on the interior of the carcass, and the drawer glides are mounted to the cleats.

There are three principal types of augers used for well drilling : bucket augers, solid-stem augers, and hollow-stem augers.... Solid-stem augers consist of spiral flanges welded to a pipe. One length of pipe(or auger section) is called a flight; multiple auger sections are often referred to as continuous flighting. The leading auger flight has a special bit or cutter head attached that cuts a hole for the flights to follow. Flights are added as the hole is drilled deeper. Cuttings from the drilling process are brought to the surface by the action of the augers.... Hollow-stem augers are similar to solid-stem augers in design, except that drill rods can pass through the auger sections.... Because the flights are hollow, they can be used as temporary casing to hold the hole open while the permanent casing is installed. Wells drilled with hollow-stem augers have been used to construct water supply wells, but they are more often used to construct monitoring wells.

The Charlottetown Accord was a package of constitutional amendments, proposed by the Canadian federal and provincial governments in 1992. It was submitted to a public referendum on October 26 of that year, and was defeated. Unlike the Meech Lake Accord, the Charlottetown Accord's ratification process provided for a national referendum. Three provinces--British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec--had recently passed legislation requiring that constitutional amendments be submitted to a public referendum. As well, Quebec premier Robert Bourassa had pledged, contingent on the results of the Charlottetown negotiations, to hold a referendum that year on either Quebec independence or a new constitutional agreement. British Columbia and Alberta agreed to participate in the federal referendum, but Quebec opted to conduct its own separate vote.(For that reason, Quebeckers "temporarily" living outside the province could have two votes, since they were enumerated to the voters’ list based on federal rules, but people relatively new to Quebec could not vote at all because they had not established residency.) The Accord had to be approved not only by a majority of voters nationally, but also by a majority of voters in each province. If it failed in just one province, the accord would not pass.

An increase in the thickness of clouds as described by cloud liquid water content would generally increase the albedo of the clouds but have little effect on the longwave emission of all but nonblack cirrus clouds. Greatest albedo change for given increase in liquid water is possible for relatively thin clouds since thick clouds are essentially saturated in brightness. Various suggestions have been offered as to how clouds might change with a warmer climate. A warmer atmosphere would hold more water vapour and possibly also more liquid water, hence cloud thickness could well increase.
