Holding studies, in which fish caught during commercial (or simulated commercial) fishing operations are handled according to regular practice then monitored in tanks or sea cages, have been used to assess the survival rate of discarded catch from various fisheries. This approach has provided some measure of survival rates and identified important factors that influence mortality for several commercial and non-commercial species. 2, record 1, English, - holding%20study

The Society’s roots go back to the 1930’s when a small band of Scottish enthusiasts formed the Scottish Canadian Study Circle. After the Second World War in 1946 the Circle re-launched itself under [their] present name [Canadian Philatelic Society of Great Britain]. The aims of the Society include the promotion and study of all aspects of British North American philately. Membership is worldwide and there is, naturally, a strong representation in Canada and the USA. 2, record 2, English, - Canadian%20Philatelic%20Society%20of%20Great%20Britain

The International Space Station's Centrifuge Accommodation Module will take life on a spin in space to achieve experimental results that can be brought down to life on Earth. Unique among ISS [International Space Station] modules, this one will permit long-term study of the effects of varying gravity levels on the structure and function of generations of living organisms and test methods for countering the negative results of those variations. The Module will house the Centrifuge Facility, a more than 8-ft. diameter centrifuge drum or rotor, and a Gravitational Biology Facility, with racks for holding plants, animals and habitats. 3, record 4, English, - centrifuge%20accommodation%20module
