Optical coherence tomography(OCT) is the current gold standard in the diagnosis, staging, and management of macular holes... This quick, non-invasive imaging technique allows for evaluation of the macula in high resolution using reflected light, and helps your doctor differentiate a hole from other eye conditions with similar symptoms. No laboratory tests are needed in cases of idiopathic macular holes(those without a known cause). 3, record 1, English, - idiopathic%20macular%20hole

The movement of a free electron from atom to atom leaves a hole in the atom it left. This hole is quickly filled by another free electron. As this movement is transmitted throughout the conductor, an electric current is created from the negative to the positive. At the same time, the "hole" has been moved backward in the conductor as one free electron after another takes its place in a sort of chain reaction. "Hole flow" is from positive to negative. Current flow in a transistor, then, may be either electron movement or hole flow, depending on the type of material, and this determines the type of transistor it is as well. 2, record 5, English, - hole%20flow

Electron trap generation in the gate oxide is a major reliability problem, since it can cause stress-induced leakage current and oxide breakdown. In this paper, traps are created either by the substrate hole injection or the Fowler-Nordheim injection. The attention is focused on how detrapping affects the generated traps. The detrapping is achieved by different techniques, including electron-hole recombination, and field or thermally assisted tunnelling. 1, record 6, English, - detrapping

The conventional method for starting such a weld was to drill a pilot hole to serve as the initial keyhole, carefully align the welding torch over the pilot hole, adjust the standoff distance, and then turn on the torch at full power.... The new starting technique does not depend on precise manual alignment. The welding torch is positioned with no more than the usual care. As the torch begins to move along the weld, the welding current is gradually increased toward the full operating level, causing the depth of the weld to increase gradually until the keyhole is formed.... The standoff is controlled by the automatic-voltage-control portion of the welding equipment. At the end of a circumferential weld, the torch can continue a short distance past the starting point to overlap and thereby complete the weld in the starting transition region. 1, record 7, English, - variable%2Dpolarity%20plasma%2Darc%20keyhole%20welding
