… the twin-image problem of conventional holography is a direct consequence of the fact that the hologram is recorded on a two‑dimensional surface. Like optical volume holography, which overcomes this problem by recording a diffraction pattern on a thick photographic emulsion, multienergy [holographic crystallography] HXT does so by recording the pattern in a volume of reciprocal space. 2, record 2, English, - optical%20volume%20holography

With the D-HUD, a form of holographic recording is used to produce a thin-film lens, covering the whole area of the curved combining glass.(...) This thin-film lens is produced by the use of a laser which records, photographically, a form of diffraction grating within a layer of gelatin which is coated onto the curved combining glass. After processing, the thin film lens is covered by a second glass layer to form a sandwich, with the "lens" formed by changes in the refractive index of the gelatin layer, providing the effect of a diffraction grating. 1, record 6, English, - thin%2Dfilm%20lens

1, record 6, French, - lentille%20%C3%A0%20couche%20mince
