Record 1 2014-04-02

English

Subject field(s)
  • Chemistry
  • Plastics Manufacturing
CONT

Polyalkenamers are produced by the ring-opening polymerization of cycloalkenes. The polymerization is conducted in the presence of a homogeneous catalyst system [...]

French

Domaine(s)
  • Chimie
  • Plasturgie
CONT

On produit des polyalcénamères en polymérisant des cycloalcènes par ouverture de noyau. La polymérisation s'effectue en présence d'un système catalyseur homogène [...]

Record 2 2004-05-18

English

Subject field(s)
  • Petroleum Cracking
CONT

The Aquaconversion technology is an extended catalytic visbreaking process in the presence of steam. The old visbreaking technology is limited in conversion level because of the stability of the resulting product.... The Aquaconversion process pushes this maximum conversion level within the stability specification by adding a homogeneous catalyst in the presence of steam. This novel catalytic system allows hydrogen from the water to be transferred to the resid when contacted in a coil-soaker system normally used for the visbreaking process.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Craquage (Pétrole)
CONT

Record 3 1996-11-21

English

Subject field(s)
  • Chemical Engineering
CONT

Heterogeneous catalysts, in contrast to homogeneous catalysts, form a separate phase from reactants and products and are usually solids. They have a microporous structure and a very large internal surface area(it may reach 1000 m²/g) but these colloidal catalysts are often inactivated by the presence of small amounts of poisons. Poisons act by combining with an active site in the catalyst surface and rendering it inactive.
