Chief Trader : Hudson's Bay Company officer responsible for the actual fur bactering. Chief traders were generally promoted to their position after having honed their skills as a clerk in the service of the Company for at least 15-20 years. 2, record 5, English, - chief%20trader
Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 OBS
According to Terry Smythe, Historical Research Division, Parks Canada, "chief trader" is a term used by the Hudson’s Bay Company to refer to a rank of company officer. After 1821, fur traders in charge of the posts were given shares and made officers. In order of rank the officers were known as "chief factors", "chief traders" and "post masters". 3, record 5, English, - chief%20trader

Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 OBS

The laser-engraved anilox roll, introduced about 20 years ago, consists of a plasma-sprayed ceramic coating(typically chromium oxide) that is ground and honed to a very smooth finish(in the neighborhood of 5 RMS). The ceramic coating is extremely hard, with a micro-hardness of 1150 to 1300 Vickers.(For comparison, the hardness of chrome plating is around 850 to 950 Vickers.) Hardness is widely used as a guide to strength, wear and erosion resistance of a coating. Due to its extreme hardness, it is not possible to engrave these coatings using a knurling tool. The only way to produce cells in this material is to engrave it with a laser. 2, record 6, English, - laser%20engraved%20anilox%20roll

Used widely in the U. S. A. and Canada for felling etc. The advantages of the double blade are : one edge can be kept for lopping and topping, the other for "laying in" or felling proper; both edges can be ground and sharpened and used alternately to last all day; if the tool needs sharpening on the job, it can be stuck upright in a stump and honed easily. 2, record 7, English, - double%2Dbladed%20axe
