The Canadian Hospital Epidemiology Committee(CHEC), a subcommittee of the Canadian Infectious Disease Society, in a collaborative effort with Health Canada, is providing rates and trends of nosocomial infections in sentinel hospitals within the Canadian Nosocomial Infection Surveillance Program(CNISP). Currently, there are 38 CHEC sites, representing nine provinces and 15 Canadian medical schools.
