A continent-size cloud of hot air and dust originating from the Sahara Desert crossed the Atlantic Ocean and headed towards Florida and the Caribbean.... These dust clouds are not uncommon, especially during the months of July and August. The origin of the Electromotive Force responsible for field aligned currents in auroral arcs can be the electrostatic potential difference existing at the interface between an earthward moving hot plasmasheet cloud, containing energetic electrons and ions, and the colder plasma in the plasma through. Mushroom clouds are formed by many sorts of large explosions under earth gravity, though they are best known for their appearance after nuclear detonations.... While it rises, air is drawn into it and upwards(similar to the updraft of a chimney), producing strong air currents known as "afterwinds", while inside the head of the cloud the hot gases rotate in a toroid shape. When the detonation itself is low enough, these afterwinds will draw in dirt and debris from the ground below to form the stem of the mushroom cloud. 2, record 6, English, - stem

The precipitation from this cloud is very weak, and most rain evaporates before reaching the ground. But this causes one more severe feature : A dry downburst. Great damages to property and life in the Middle-East have occurred as a result of dry downbursts. The surface air under the alto-Cb is extremely hot and dry(humidity less than 10%). The rain falling from the thunderstorm under the downdraft evaporates as a result of the dry air. Evaporation causes the air to cool, which increases the speed of the downburst. Sustained winds can reach 160 km/h(100 mph) or more, for a few minutes. In Israel, the dry downbursts usually occur over the desert regions, in the south and east, when the humidity is very low. 2, record 7, English, - dry%20downburst
Record number: 7, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Downbursts occur in regions of a severe thunderstorm where the air is accelerated downward by exceptionally strong evaporative cooling occurs (a dry downburst) or by very heavy rain which drags dry air down with it (a wet downburst). When the rapidly descending air strikes the ground, it spreads outward in all directions in a circle, like a fast-running faucet hitting the sink bottom. 3, record 7, English, - dry%20downburst

C'est à partir de cette eau chaude que se forment les nuages qui entraînent les moussons. Cette masse d'eau chaude est gardée en place grâce aux alizés, vents soufflant des hautes pressions subtropicales vers les basses pressions équatoriales. A cooling tower basically consists of an air circuit and a water circuit leading to a heat exchange vessel in which the air and water are brought into contact. By a stack effect, i. e. by natural draft, the cooling tower shell provides air circulation. When, as is the case with the wet cooling towers at EDF thermal and nuclear plants, the air and water are placed in direct contact in the heat exchange vessel, the hot air escaping from the shell is saturated with steam : mixing with the colder outside air produces by steam condensation a plume whose structure is similar to a natural cloud. 1, record 9, English, - wet%20cooling%20tower
