The plasma spray process is basically the spraying of molten or heat softened material onto a surface to provide a coating. Material in the form of powder is injected into a very high temperature plasma flame, where it is rapidly heated and accelerated to a high velocity. The hot material impacts on the substrate surface and rapidly cools forming a coating. This plasma spray process carried out correctly is called a "cold process"(relative to the substrate material being coated) as the substrate temperature can be kept low during processing avoiding damage, metallurgical changes and distortion to the substrate material. 1, record 5, English, - plasma%20spray%20process

If several cells in a solar module are shaded, the ones not shaded still produce electricity, which flows through the series connections to the shaded cells that now act as blocking diodes. Record number: 9, Textual support number: 1 OBS
There are two sub-types : pure suspension and cyclonic. Pure suspension units are true "burners" in that a stable open flame(similar to a gas or oil burner flame) is created by air jets that are usually mounted in the wall of the combustor or boiler. Cyclonic suspension units have a refractory cylindrical combustion chamber into which the fuel particles and air are introduced tangentially. The long cyclonic gas circulation keeps the fuel circulating in the chamber, resulting in complete combustion of the fuel, but all ash normally exits with the hot exhaust gases. Fuel is fed to both types of these burners by pneumatic feeders with the fuel air stream forming the primary air supply. 2, record 9, English, - suspension%20burner

1, record 9, French, - chaudi%C3%A8re%20%C3%A0%20lit%20en%20suspension

An economical alternative for sewer rehabilitation... Cured-in-place pipe consists of a flexible fabric tube impregnated with a thermosetting resin. The tube is inserted in the existing pipe and either winched or inverted into place with water pressure. Injected steam or hot water cures the resin and shapes the tube into the form of the existing pipe. Application of heat hardens the resin after a few hours, forming a jointless pipe-within-a-pipe. 3, record 14, English, - cured%2Din%2Dplace%20pipe

Aircraft Rivets.... For dimpling heavier skins or skins of some of the harder alloys, such as 7075, hot dimpling may be used. This is usually done in the [coin dimpling] manner.... The dies are held in a special squeezer that allows electrical current to flow through the sheet for an accurately measured period of time. This current causes the metal immediately around the dies to heat up, and then air pressure is applied to force the dies together. Rather than the male die being driven into the female, the female die is forced up around the male, causing the hot metal to flow up tighter around the male die, forming a dimple with closer tolerance than that formed with the radius method. 2, record 15, English, - hot%20dimpling

The bonding methods include :(1) homofil bonding, in which all filaments are composed of a single polymer type, but some of the filaments have different melting characteristics. Bonding is achieved by a high-temperature calendering operation, accomplished by passing fabric between two hot rollers; and(2) heterofil bonding, in which some of the filaments comprise two types of polymers having different melting points(heterofilaments), while others have only one polymer(homofilaments). The heterofilaments have different softening characteristics from the homofilaments, and strong flexible bonds can therefore be formed at the heterofilament crossover points by controlled application of heat and pressure to fuse only the lower melting point polymer forming the sheat, while leaving the core and homofilaments unaffected. 1, record 18, English, - homofilament
