Taking into account different manufacturing processes, e. g. extruding, hot rolling, continuous casting with subsequent hot rolling, the term "drawing stock" for the intermediate product was selected as the preferred term to replace the term "Wire rod". a) Drawing stock : This term was derived by analogy with "forging stock", in order to express that this intermediate product is intended to be drawn. b) Wire rod : This term-used in some countries-has been rejected on the basis of terminology principles :"wire" and "rod" are terms for two different products, which shall not be combined to name a third product. 5, record 2, English, - drawing%20stock

Another process somewhat related to injection blow-molding is dip blow molding used for small containers. The process has the advantage of reducing some of the molded-in stress. A core rod is inserted into a cupel, displacing resin and packing it into the neck finish area. As the core rod moves away, a predetermined amount of resin is permitted to remain on the rod. A hot knife cuts the hot plastic, separating the material on the rod from the melt pool in the cupel. The core rod is then rotated to the blow station for blow molding. Hesta is a supplier of this type of machinery. 3, record 4, English, - dip%20blow%20molding
