A tumor of the nasopharynx composed of fibrous connective tissue with abundant endothelium-lined vascular spaces, usually occurring during puberty, most commonly in boys.

OBS

It is characterized by nasal obstruction which may become total, hyponasality, discomfort in swallowing, auditory tube obstruction and massive epistaxis.

Hyponasality, or denasality, is the opposite of hypernasality and occurs when there is some type of blockage in the nasal cavity or, in some cases, inadequate opening of the velopharyngeal port. This type of nasality is typical of an individual with a head cold.
