The stage before fainting that involves experiencing fainting symptoms without loss of consciousness. 5, record 1, English, - presyncope
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Presyncope or near-syncope is often ill-defined and may have different meanings to different providers but denotes near fainting or a prodrome of syncope. The most uniform definition is ’’feeling like one was going to pass out but without actual loss of consciousness. ’’Near syncope can last for seconds to minutes. Symptoms may be accompanied by a feeling of lightheadedness, general weakness, warmth, diaphoresis, nausea, palpitations or blurry vision. Although often perceived as more benign than syncope, data suggest that both the pathophysiology(cerebral hypoperfusion) and outcomes of near syncope mimic those of syncope. 6, record 1, English, - presyncope

Lactic acidosis is a form of metabolic acidosis that begins when a person overproduces or underutilizes lactic acid, and their body is not able to adjust to these changes.... There are two types of lactic acidosis, Type A and Type B : Type A lactic acidosis is caused by tissue hypoperfusion resulting from hypovolemia, cardiac failure, sepsis, or cardiopulmonary arrest[;] Type B lactic acidosis is caused by impairment of cellular functioning and localized areas of tissue hypoperfusion. 2, record 3, English, - lactic%20acidosis

We analyzed the relationship between abnormal perfusion and morphological changes on follow-up CT scans. Patients were divided into infarct and periinfarct regions. Results : Among a total of 30 infarct regions, 3 lesions studied at 1. 5, 2. 5 and 5 hours after the ictus showed local hyperperfusion suggestive of early postischemic hyperemia, while the other 27 lesions demonstrated local hypoperfusion. 2, record 5, English, - hypoperfusion
