Fires were carried out in June and July, which corresponds to the main fire season for this region of Siberia. Plots were burned under a wide range of fuel moisture and weather conditions to observe effects on fire behaviour, fire severity, emissions, and other ecological factors. All experimental plots were burned using line ignition along the windward side to quickly create equilibrium fire behaviour that mimics wildfires under similar burning conditions... 1, record 1, English, - equilibrium%20fire%20behaviour

An oil burner is defined by the National Oil Fuel Institute as a mechanical device for preparing fuel oil to combine with air under controlled conditions for combustion. Two methods(atomization and vaporization) are used for the preparation of fuel oil for the combustion process. Air for combustion is supplied by natural or mechanical draft. Ignition is generally accomplished by an electric spark, gas pilot flame, or oil pilot flame. Burners of different types operate with luminous or nonluminous flame. Operation may be continuous, intermittent, modulating, or high-low flame. 4, record 3, English, - oil%20burner

Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition, or HCCI, is a relatively new combustion technology. It is a hybrid of the traditional spark ignition(SI) and the compression ignition process(such as a Diesel engine). In addition, HCCI is a lean combustion process. These conditions translate to a lower local flame temperature which lower the amount of Nitric Oxide(NOx) produced in the process. 3, record 13, English, - homogeneous%20charge%20compression%20ignition

The limits of flammability ... For examples, hydrogen-air mixtures will propagate flames for concentrations between 4 and 74 percent by volume of hydrogen at 70°F and atmospheric pressure. The smaller value is the lower (lean) limit, and the larger value is the upper (rich) limit of flammability. When the mixture temperature is increased, the flammability range widens; when the temperature is decreased, the range narrows. 2, record 14, English, - flammability%20limit

Combustion in which the fuel is only partially burned, and is capable of being burned further under proper conditions. It results from an inadequate amount of air for the quantity of fuel provided. It can also occur, even in excess air conditions, if mixing is poor and/or the flame is chilled below the ignition temperature before the full combustion reaction can take place. An example is the burning of carbon, producing carbon monoxide(CO) ;with more air, carbon dioxide(CO2) would result. 1, record 15, English, - incomplete%20combustion

Detonating explosives are usually subdivided into two categories, primary and secondary. Primary explosives detonate by ignition from some source such as flame, spark, impact, or other means that will produce heat of sufficient magnitude. Secondary explosives require a detonator and, in some cases, a supplementary booster. A few explosives can be both primary and secondary depending on the conditions of use. 1, record 17, English, - secondary%20explosive
