Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. The Information Management Strategies Division(IMSD) is responsible for strategies, standards, and practices that improve the management of information as a strategic business resource in the delivery of Government of Canada programs and services. IMSD is leading development of a strategic design for a Government of Canada IM Program, which will be a blueprint for effective, consistent, government-wide management of information. The Division also oversees implementation of the Government's Policy on the Management of Government Information, provides leadership and guidance to departments and agencies in support of effective IM practices, and promotes information interoperability with such initiatives as the development of a Government of Canada metadata strategy and metadata management program.

Secrétariat du Conseil du Trésor du Canada. La Division des stratégies de gestion de l'information (DSGI) est responsable des stratégies, des normes et des pratiques d'amélioration de la gestion de l'information comme ressource opérationnelle stratégique pour la prestation des programmes et des services du gouvernement du Canada. La DSGI dirige l'élaboration d'une stratégie pour le Programme de GI du GC, stratégie qui servira de plan directeur visant à garantir une gestion de l'information efficace et uniforme dans l'ensemble de l'administration fédérale. La Division supervise aussi la mise en œuvre de la Politique sur la GIG du gouvernement, fournit un leadership et une orientation aux ministères et organismes à l'appui de pratiques de GI efficaces et favorise l'interopérabilité de l'information dans la cadre d'initiatives comme l'élaboration d'une stratégie de création de métadonnées pour le GC et d'un programme de gestion des métadonnées.
